Default I have a confession...

I bought Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding and Meringue yesterday, and I like it . The consistency is perfect, I like the weight of my hair, and the coils and curls are poppin today. I only wish it didn't have that dreaded "parafinium liquidum" aka mineral oil. My curiosity just got the best of me. I plan to use it up and decide then if i want to repurchase.

Congrats on a new product find! Just stay on top of your moisturizing so it doesn't dry your hair. My sister uses the buttercream all the time and her hair looks great and doesn't dry out. Me, not so much.

I read about it drying people's hair out...one of my friends uses the pudding and her hair always looks so amazing. So I guess I can blame her for making me want to try it after all this time lol. I guess trying out Miss Jessie's is every curly girl's rite of passage.

Default MJCP and MJCM

I liked them both at first.. I took a hiatus from using them (because of drying out of hair and build-up) and tried to go back but it is not working like the initial time.. Hope it continues to work..Make sure to stay up on the moisturizer and conditioning... Hope it continues to work.

Dont feel bad, its your hair. I actually, tried this after I learned about the cg method (see pic in black dress in my siggy). I actually like it, but cant fathom spending that much for something I dont love.

I actually bought some again this summer and regretted it, I guess I just got lucky the first time around.

SBB - That reply was funny!

I tried curly meringue while I was transitioning. I did not like the results. Since I still have a lot left, I have been trying to use it every once in awhile just to use it up.

Glad it worked for you. I liked the curly meringue - until they changed the formulation. Like everyone else said if it works - it works!

Thumbs down

Ladies, my hair has officially revolted against Miss Jessie's. I should have listened . The first time it turned out great. The 2nd time it was okay, not as good as the first. The 3rd time I used it my hair was so gross looking! Never again will I buy anything from them! I sooooo wish I could take this back and get my money back, but I have a feeling the salon I bought it from won't do returns. I wish we could start a petition to get them to remove the mineral oil from the product because it would work so much better. I may try to sell it to my friend who uses it. Her hair is so soft and never looks cruncy...I wonder how she makes it work? I clarified my hair and I'm back to the land of CG now

I hated the way the product wasn't consistent with good hair days. I think that out of the 5 times (maybe 4) I tried it I had like 2 good hair days but the other days my hair felt greasy as hell like if I had a jerry curl. Trust me I wanted it to work for me too. I paid enough money for it! I ended up giving it to my daughter. She was able to get great results from the curly pudding. I tried following the instructions and it just was no good for me.

It's so funny you say that bc the cincher for me was when I walked past this store on the street and I heard this guy say to his friend "Does she have a jerri curl? Are those coming back in style?" I wanted to MELT into the ground. I put the curly pudding in the product graveyard after that.

just clarify and deep condition if you use miss jessie's often and you'll be fine!

I just going to post this exact info. When using Miss Jessie's especially the "NEW" formulas, it imperative that you wash (sulphate moisturizing poo) and condtion your hair after each use. I recommend Elucence clarifying, Keracare Moisturizing & Detangling and KC Come Clean. I skip co-washing while using Miss Jessies and pick it back up when I return to my main stapls...KCCC, KT and now Blended Cutie.
