help with hair typing

Hi everyone. I'm a bit new to the forums and i'm a bit confused by the hair typing, the definitions of 3c and 4a seem to overlap and the definitions of 4a and 4b seem to overlap as well. it leaves me wondering if I have all 3 or if I am just misinterpreting the definitions. I have moody hair that seems to change it's type at least once a month. I have 2 pics of a wash ' go that is completley dry and a wet one, can someone please help me figure it out?

umm, anyone? would it help if I took closer pictures?
I think it would. And try to get them a little brighter and clearer, too. It's very hard to make out from those photos (BTW, welcome to the forum!)
okay thanks, sorry about these pics taken with the cell phone, they're a bit blurry but hopefully these will work

So are we. I've been on here for almost a year and it's not any clearer to me.
Don't worry about it. You'll still have to do a trial and error to find out what products work for you.

sell crazy somewhere else...we're all stocked up here.
ah I see, thanks for your response jcurlady,
I hope you don't mind I took a look at your fotki. All I have to say is hello hair cousin .

I can't quite say hair twin because of all of that pantene - commercial looking volume and shine you have there. You have some really beautiful healthy looking hair there.

oh and i have one question for you. What is KCKT and KCCC ? If that's your secret I may have to buy that suff by the barrel
Your hair is very pretty! Your hair looks 3C to me with a little 4A. I'm certainly not the hair typing queen so I'll let the others chime in.

KCCC is Kinky Curly Curling Custard
You can order it from the NC website http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-...ard-p-778.html or directly from the company

KCKT is Kinky Curly Knot Today

Thank you, thank you, thank you. And yes kinky-curly is my secret. I also do dt(deep condish treatments) at least once a week. The flash on my camera doesn't hurt either.

Looking at fotkis is a good way to figure out what might work for you. It's also a good way to become a pj.

thanks so much OnyxCabelo, jcurlady and mariag002. I definatley will try to find the kinky curly stuff around here since rosemary and chamomile extracts work really well with my hair. On a side note here I was just wondering if anyone has tried frizz ease weatherworks conditioner for co-washing? I was at my brother's house yesterday and he had the shampoo and conditioner there so I used some of the conditioner for a co-wash. The ingredients really don't look like anything special (joico silk result, suave coconut milk and shikaki are my babies) but that may have been the best results I have ever gotten from a co-wash I wish I had taken pictures my hair remained soft and virtually frizz free all day.
