I think I've always liked the "less-is-more" concept re: hair, but it wasn't until recently, at nine months post-chop, that I've decided to implement it. My PJ traits have disappeared -- three cheers from my wallet!
 
20-some years ago, we didn't know as much about products BUT my sweet Mom cultivated my natural hair, with great results, prior to the straightening comb and relaxers. So I figure, why not revisit some of her techniques, minus the mineral oil, intense heat styling, and other harsh chems?
I need to update my fotki... but at this point I basically only use V05 to co-wash (but may give that up too), OR occasional baking soda and water or Chagrin Valley soap to cleanse, ACV rinse to clarify, and pure shea butter mixed with some oil for styling/moisture. I LOVE this routine!
