Default Coating the Hair?

Does anyone know of any products that will coat the strains of your hair?

How do you mean "coat"? In a good way (e.g., sealing in moisture, protective) or a bad way (build up, blocking out moisture)?

I have been thinking about the products that I use and the ones that I have been trying to avoid i.e CONES. I think I need the cones and other bad products. I am looking for something that protects the strains from heat. I need something stronger than a heat protector. One of my biggest problems is heat or any type. I am heat sensitive and I only have to use it once. I suffer from heat damage all the time and am looking for products that coat the strains so they won't become damage so easily.

You'll probably find good info on this browsing or searching the straightening forum. It's not just about relaxing, but the best ways to straighten with heat--and protect from straightening with heat
