**sigh**

Blown out, flat-ironed, and trimmed. I so do not like. My daughter liked it because she says you could see how long it really is. (I forgive her she's only nine.) My boss said I look younger and more mature. (Code word for more professional **roll eyes**) And the receptionist at my daughter's school wanted to know what I was mixed with to get such "good" hair.

**double sigh**

I just want my ringlets back.

Oh well at least my mom said "You know, I like the curly hair better."

I braided my hair tonight for a bit more texture. We're getting snow tomorrow so I'm just going to pin it up in the morning.

Girl, that is the exact way to put it "lays down in submission". I was standing in the mirror and, hopefully I say it right, but I thought my hair was relaxed again.... that's how easy it was to detangle. I seriously had flashbacks to my relaxed hair days. Not saying that I miss them, but yeah, it was that easy.

DB's Mask is a keeper! Can't wait until the next herbal treatment where I will retest again, but this is looking to make it into the list of "The Worthy"

I got my first trim in a salon since 2009 today! Haha. My ends were raggedy and I knew the dusting/cutting off ends of twists thing wasn't working so I decided to suck it up and see a stylist. The woman was nice, I let her blow out my hair since I never use heat on it anyway and wasn't worried about heat damage, and she actually knew what a trim was as opposed to a cut. Lol. I am satisfied. She enhanced my natural layers and I can't wait to see the difference when I wash it again.

And uh...that's about it.

Ugh

Detangled with SM anti-breakage masque and massaged purification masque into scalp only
Washed with SM moisture retention shampoo to get that emeffin shine&define out
Used GVP balm as leave
Layed SM curl&style milk on top
Raked through small amount of pink eco styler
Diffused to get rid of drips

Hair is shrunken and crispy just like the good ole days

Oh em GEEEE!!!!!! OMG!!!! Can you tell I'm excited? I FINALLY FINALLY found a way to fix my hair after I detangle and jack up my curls. I twisted each section that I detangled and went to sleep with my satin scarf on...in the AM, I just untwisted each wet section (yea, my hair wasn't going to dry overnight, it was still SUPA damp), finger combed, and applied some Donna Marie DCC like I would do if I was doing a wash n go to each section. Added some Spiral Soutions Curl Enhancing Jelly on top as a finisher...my roots on top were initially straight from the scarf, but since my hair was wet they started to wave/curl. It's like a twist out/wash n go hybrid! I'm boosted.

I tried to dye my hair last night with garnier color and yeah my hair laughed at that mess no change at all . So after I cowashed and detangled I cut about and inch off the bottoms and sides. Twisted with DM CHBM and SBC, my hair wasn't dried this morning so I'm rocking a soggy twistout but the shape is on point finally.

I decided to revisit some hair products that I've taken out of my routine a few months ago.

  • Tresemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture Shampoo (lower sulfate kind in the black bottle)
  • Giovanni 50:50 Balanced Hydrating-Calming Conditioner (for normal to dry hair)
  • Abba Gentle Conditioner leave-in for sensitive skin/scalp
The verdict:

The shampoo was nice. Felt like regular shampoo, definitely don't think it's lower sulfates in any real way.

The Giovanni conditioner was nice when it was in my hair. But it had no slip for detangling. Even after adding in some olive oil, I still had no slip. So then, I had a light bulb moment! My Abba leave-in has lots of slip.

I stopped using my Abba leave-in because it was leaving white gunk all over my hair and it stopped working. But after I added my Abba leave-in, the comb when through my hair like a hot knife going through butter. It was luscious.

I may not like the Abba leave-in anymore as a leave-in but it makes a great rinse out detangler. I'll be adding that back into my routine.

After detangling and rinsing out the condish, I moisturized my hair with shea butter and olive oil and some Tresmme Naturals conditioner. Rockin the fluffy wash'n'go.

Day II of my WnG

Previous day - I used Oyin Hair Dew to detangle which worked out beautifully. I layered one section with Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie and Eco Styler Olive Oil and it was a partial failure.

I took another section and layered Shea Moisture with Curl & Style Milk with the Eco Styler and it was a little better.

I took a third section and mixed my castor/jojoba mix and Eco Styler in my hand and that worked the best.

Though my hair was white at first, it did look great after it dried all over. This is my first time using gel in a WnG and though I like the results, it does weigh my hair a little. When it dries, my curls are back. Maybe its a matter of styler:gel ratio.

I'm not a huge WnG fan in general because I don't like feeling my cold, wet hair sloshing on my neck and back (good problem to have, right??).

I put my hair in two large ponytails, sealed my ends and put on a satin scarf.

Today - I thought my hair was a hot mess when I took my hair down, but a spray of water did the trick.

Misted my twists with ApHogee Keratin and Green Tea Restructurizer (for a shot of protein) and with my mix of BS Milk & Honey Curl Quencher (about an 8th of a bottle left) and Nunu Handmade JuJu Mist (almost the entire bottle). The sprayer didn't work right on the JuJu Mist, and I wasn't going to pour out my Curl Quencher to make room, so I combined the two.

Hey...it works.

FAILED! Bantu Knot out.

I realised that based on how I parted my hair I had a huge line running down the middle of my head. My hair was also really sticky. I used Shea Moisture Mist, Shea Moisture Leave in and sealed with the Oyin Whipped Pudding

I decided to initiate Emergency Plan C. Two flat twists, and call it a day.

I need to go home and wash this mess out of my damn head.

Working on 4th day hair tomorrow

Tonight sprayed my hair with Roots of Natures curl reviving spray, then added a little of jessicurls confident coils, then some whipped avocado cream on top, ponytail'd and covered it with my satin bonnet

on day 3 I sprayed RON Curl Reviving Spray and then added a little bit of the butter whip coil cream( i think these work better on 2, 3, 4 etc day hair )

@elly yeah thats what I do, after I detangle I just put in a few big ol twists then put a head tie on so when I go to bed my hair wont look a mess the next day. Then I take them down and each individual curlie bounces right back into place.

I haven't DCed in a while so I decided to hit the reset button on my hair tonight and sleep in my DC since my hair feels a little dry.

I mixed Natures Gate Aloe Vera Moisturizing Conditioner with a little Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque. I don't like the masque alone, but its wonderful mixed in with a lighter conditioner. I'm going to sleep in it with a plastic cap and a scarf over it.

Did a new WnG after an overnight DC treatment.

Now I remember why I prefer twist outs. Spending what seems like hours detangling my hair ever few days (instead of 1-2x a week) is for the birds. I'm going to make this one last until at least Sunday night and go back to twist outs for a while to give my hair a break.

I received my CIAB, so I hope that will help extend my WnG.

100% dry hair

(sorry for the poor image quality, pose, no make up, bloated, etc. ) LOL!
