Last night I washed my hair in 6 sections using the Creme of Nature Moisture & Shine Shampoo, conditioned with the Shea Moisture Purification Masque (was tempted to leave it in but it has clay in it), and applied the SM Yucca Milk in the shower. After that absorbed a bit, I sectioned and applied blue Eco Styler. It was still damp when I went to bed but I put it in a ponytail with my satin scarf.
This morning I took my ponytail down and spritzed with water. Once it's dry I'll moisturize and fluff. I am thinking that applying product in smaller sections (sigh) and getting my roots is the key to decreasing tangles and matting, but my goodness it's killing my beloved volume.

My hair is still looking nice from my DT I did on Saturday. But it needed freshening up.
I co rinsed with Giovanni 50:50 Moisturizing Calming condish and JASON Apricot super shine. I gently finger detangled.
After towel drying my hair, I applied shea butter, olive oil, and coconut oil to my hair. Yum!

Nice DIY elastics! I think I'm gonna make some to use for when I revisit banding.

I use the water spritz to get my hair to loosen up and drop from the 'binapples' and sleeping on it. The Frank Juice, I use like hair perfume. I'd use at least half a bottle trying to use the FJ alone for refreshing my big head .
It's sorta sticky, IMO. The water first helps though. I do the same on my daughters hair now (water first), Once I used all FJ and her hair was sticky and lint magnet-y.

Thanks! I'm glad that I took time to do it! Those little blobs of glue on the 'Ouchless' bands were still catching hair.
I bought a pack of bands that were truly seamless but I can't remember who made them.
One plus of the DIY version is that you get a gradation of sizes ~ from the foot sections to thigh. I cut 1.5 inch(foot to knee) pieces increasing to 2 inch(up to thigh) pieces and rolled/cuffed them to make the bands
Next I need to find some fun colors to make a set for my daughter.

Wash-n-Go Day IV
Hair is in a pineapple from the night before - I was getting ready to go to the gym. I might just leave it up today.
This is the last day of this WnG. I'm going to wash, DC and do a twist-out and possibly dry bun for the week since the weather is back to being cold.

Presto! - I figure I avoided excercise for years because of my hair, I may as well take advantage of having a much easier time now that I'm natural

I remember reading online where someone said that they diluted their J&B's. Have either of you tried this? I think it's a decent route to go if you use one of the 3 oz bottles. That way you get twice as much J&B without the stickiness

Great idea! I'm going to dilute the rest!
I'm not sure if fj and jb are the same formula besides frag cos I've only tried fj.

^ I checked on the ingredients list after reading your post. It seems that the Frank Juice has rosemary whereas the J&B doesn't (as per Curl Mart's list). Oyin states that Frank Juice has Frank. and Myrrh.

Second day hair with my new baby daddy, Blue Ecostyler. Fluffed with Oyin Whipped Pudding (fail, way too thick), then added Smoothing Lotion (win) and a bit more gel on top to try to get rid of whiteness (didn't work). Diffused hair for a few minutes, whiteness gone!
