~BUNNING~

im on a bunning challenge; the first time it did this i got great results (didn't have to trim for 10months! and by the 10th month only had to dust my ends); my ends were in excellent shape.

i am officially the Kettle; call me Black. thanks.

I'm better than people who think they are better than others; even though that's hypocritical in itself, im a better kind of hypocrite than others.
today i washed my hair and deep conditioned it with Keracare humecto creame conditioner and added olive oil. I then used nexxus ultimate moisture leave in and then used olive oil and coconut oil as scalp moisturizer. i am wearing a sew in but i still treat my hair as if i wasnt haen had a perm in over 2 years
Yesterday (still trying to master flat-twists) I flat twisted up the front and left the rest as a fro to make a puff. It looks really cute! Instead of being lazy, I twisted up each little row with my whipped shea butter. So this morning, it looks fresh and purty.

I'm quite happy with myself. It looks really cute! I have four rows of little twists and a puff in the back. Took me an HOUR to do last night, but at least I'm getting faster and better at these flat-twists! One day I'm sure I'll be able to crank them out in 20min!
I'm "TechKnockout" now.
Today I...

- Abba poo'd

- conditioned with Elucence mixed with Agave Nectar & Olive oil

- Curl Friends as my leave-in for moisture balance because I overdid my protein treatments this week.

- detangled with Knot Today w/ oil

- Phyto Plage Moisturzing Sun jelly for any frizzies.
4a/b Texlaxed hair w/ highlights. Medium texture & high porosity.

HG's: CJ Daily Fix, Bobeam Cheris Hibiscus shampoo bar, KC Spiral Spritz, Knot Today, CJ Rehab, KBB LL Hair Mask, Cassia, KCCC, oil blend of Avocado, Camellia, Jojoba, & Meadowfoam oils

SL APL BSL MBL
On day 3 of my wash & go. Been "fluffing/moisturizing" with Devacurl Set It Free, John Masters Shine On and Qhemet Burdock Cream for the most part (about 1/2 tsp total). It's what you would expect 3 day hair to look like (puffy, a bit frizzy). But hair is still formed and springy and most importantly feels soft, hydrated and smooth.

The original W&G was wash with Theraneem Max. strength Neem soap (scented), condition with Mop Top Daily condish, leave-ins: Qhemet Burdock cream on wet clean conditioned ends, Abba Nourishing with a smidge of KBB Hair Milk and KCCC over that.

It rained today, I napped all afternoon. I was going to rollerset this evening, but I think I'll go to day 4 with a headband or bun. I hate Mondays

I put my hair into its first afro puffs ever!!!!!

Whoooooooo hoooooooooo!!!

Trying to get a good pic for my coming album.

My hair had already been in a twistout for the past 3 days and while picking at this morning, I noticed the length and decided to see if I could get my hair in 2 puffs. I sprayed my hair with my homemade leave-in, then applied some Qhem Burdock Root Butter Cream to smooth my hair, used my black scrunchies, and voila! Cute little puffs!

Can't wait till they are super huge...

[]Listening to Utada Hikaru...

[]Making small to medium twists on slightly damp hair with my blended Shealoe mix + AOMM gel and using my Hibiscus spray to mist hair...

[]Will watch my twists get skrinkage of 80% as they airdry, lol...

[]In the morning, will toss on a little clip, lightly mist and put tiny amount of KMF Upper Management on hair for the moisture from the rains!
RIP Natasha Richardson

Holy Grails: Alba Botanica Leave-In Conditioner, AVG, EVO Coconut Oil, Amla Oil, KC Spiral Spritz, Brahmi Oil, Tea Tree eo, Rosemary eo, Distilled H2O, Aloe Vera Juice, Neem Oil, ACV, Dr. Bonner's Skikakai Castile Soap, Avocado Oil

Sometimes: AOMM Jelly, KCNT, KCCC
Cowashed with GVP Biolage conditioning balm
Condition with MOP Mixed Greens (trying to use up all myu conditioners)- added a smidge of Jamaican castor oil.
Mixed in a tad of KBB hair milk for better detangling, and finger detangled. Kept the conditioner in while I showered, then rinsed of with cold water (ouch!!).
To style:Scrunched in a dab of John Masters Shine On.
Raked in some Abba Nourishing mixed with KBB hair milk to clump my curls.
Plopped for 10 minutes, then raked in KCCC.
Airdried until lunch and broke out my T3 to dry completely. Yes I brought it to work.

The cold water really helped with clumping, I think.

Beautiful!

Yesterday I did flat-twists too. I'm teaching myself how to do them. They turned out OK, but I used big sections of hair--6 rows of flat-twists. When I get the technique down I'll be able to pull off extravagant styles like yours!

Cowashed and conditioned with MopTop Daily conditioner.
Added a little KBB hair milk for detangling and let sit on my head while I washed. Rinsed with cold water upside down. Styled with Curl Junkie Hibiscus & Banana Honey Butta leave-in, then a little bit of John Masters Organics Shine On. Didn't plop because I wasn't using a gel. I thought this would air dry more quickly but I still had a dampish patch in the back by late afternoon. It's just now totally dry.

I tried the Sweet Hair Pudding and it was great! I even had great 2nd day ponytail hair. I did a wash though and had massive tangles. Incredible and unusual. I washed again this morning and same problem except even more tangles! Knot Today couldn't even bust them. Also the water just seemed to sit on top of my hair and once it dried I could see a residue/film. I noticed a similar problem back in Jan. with Mop Top (which has shea too) so I know I need to clarify....

After I got home I:

Washed with California Baby swimmer's shampoo (This will get goo completely out. The only thing slightly less gentle than this is dishwashing detergent!)

Then, mixed up a deep conditioner with:
  • Elucence MBC
  • Grapeseed oil
  • Agave Nectar
  • Aloe Butter
Now my hair feels normal again and no more tangles. I'm limiting my shea use from now on.

I did my twists finally and put it up with a tie.
