Scissor Fun Sunday...lol!

well, "what had happened waz"...I still felt like there were a lot of splits and general unevenness (weird shape) from unraveling my locs.

It's not super-short but it feels much better, less fuzzy (more mini spirals) and seems more responsive to my conditioner.

...Will throw together a photo thingy link soon.

Took down my 2 day old twists. I'm planning on wearing my twist out until wash day (probably on Saturday.)

A wash and go. I'm loving marinating my hair in conditioner, finger detangling, cold rinses and my new Curls like us towel!

-Shampoo - Theraneem Maximum strength Neem soap with Sweet Orange
-Conditioner - Curl Junkie Deep Fix with a few pumps of KBB Hair Milk, and Pumpking seed oil scrunched over condtioner. Rinsed out with a cold water rinse.
- Leave in: mix of Deva Blonde OneC, Abba Pure Gentle and KBB Hair milk on soaking wet hair. Scrunched out excess moisture with the towel.
Out of shower used Sebastion Stylixir and a little KCCC to gel. Air dried.

I retwisted my hair last night. I was getting bored with my hair. Hair feels dry to me so I'm going to do a DT soon, maybe on sat. I'm dying to by some AO conditioners but I'm going to hold off until next month.

I washed mine this morning, put in some leave in conditioner and did a wee bit of blowdrying so that I would stop dripping. Then I picked it out. I want to be able to braid my own hair. Not the extensions kind, just braid it. My arms get too tired because my hair is SUPER thick!

My hair is in several twists, pulled back with a headband and then pulled into a ponytail where I then bunned it. lol. It's been like this for about 3 days.. I'm not good at Protective Styles, i'll be taking this down today, lol

Today, I am rocking a frohawk.

I used banana clips and a homemade spritz to smooth the hair up into the clips.

Its my first time and I think I like it.

Dr. Bronner's messed up my hair mojo. Today it was crying for moisture.

- I washed w/ Abba Gentle poo

- Conditioned w/ Suave Strawberry plus these ingredients mixed in:
  • Strawberry & Rosehip oils
  • Glycerin
  • Agave Nectar
  • a dash of Hibiscus
  • Aloe Vera Juice
- Suave sucks for detangling so I once I was in the shower I had to add Giovanni Smooth as Silk to the ends and around the front edges to make combing easier.

My hair feels really soft & moisturized again. Ah!

I dc'ed with a mix of QH Cholesterol and Trader Joe's NS last night. Detangled (sorta snarly after days of wash and gos..), rinse, reapplied mix of TJ and olive oil

...put hair into large twists, passed out...

it's still in the twists but damp... i have to go out soon, so I'll put on a baggie under my scarf/wrap.

I'm being spontaneous and washing more this week:

Worked some GVP Biolage matrix balm into dry hair. Got into shower and wet, washed and rinsed.
Conditioner - Moptop Sage with KBB hair milk on ends, then Pumpkin seed butter. Let sit for 5 minutes. cold water rinse upside down. I'm still finger detangling and it's very easy.
Leave-in Abba Natural, then a little bit (tsp) of Sheamoisture for whole head. Used Curls like Us towel to squeeze out excess water.
Gelled with CJ Aloe Fix mixed with KCCC. Air dried.

Hair was only 80% dry (wet roots) when I worked out at lunch and I sweated. After workout I diffused dry, tied it into a loose scrunchy for 6 minutes, unded and fluffed. Hair looks good, a little frizz at the back near neck.

cowashed with YTC
Oyin Honey Hemp - used as leave in (The jury is still out on this. Have used twice now and not sure that it does anything for my hair.)
Lustrasilk Styling Gel
Blowdryer w/ diffuser so I wouldn't be sopping wet heading out the door.
Ouchless headband to make a puff (have finally grown out enough to do this and have it look decent, yay!)

I flat twisted the front of my hair up and put some pretty clips in them. Fro in the back, flat twists in the front! I'm really proud of myself because I was able to do this in less than 30min! Huzzah! It's a really simple/cute style to do!

It's 86 degrees, so no protective styling today. One big ole massive curly-puff, and LOVING it. Even with the loose sections that are cooperating more, it looks pretty good. Maybe my hair just wanted to be freeeee.....LMAO!
