just applied henna over washed 2 strand twists
Shampooed with CON (red label). Conditioned and detangled with matrix biolage. Deep treated under heat cap for 1 hour. Rinsed and used a final herbal rinse of organic hibiscus leaves, organic nettle and organic burdock root. Did 2-strand twists using JCNS.
Twisted the hair back up this morning, and have it pinned up. Can't deal with it out right now until I find products that work with my hair. Seems a lot of the products I could rely on no longer really work for me. Including my TJ Nourish Spa. It works okay, but it doesn't do much for me like it used to. My hair seem MORE tangled after using it even though earlier in the day, I had detangled my hair when I cowashed. It shouldn't have been MORE tangled when there was no friction on the hair the entire day. Very disappointed, but it happens.

Now onto the search for products that work.....all over again. *grumble* Or maybe I'll just keep it up. Seems simpler to just keep it twisted right now
A wonderful mix of coils, curls, corkscrews, and kinks.

Went almost commando:
Washed with Theraneem Maximum strength (scented)
Condition with Mop Top with a little KBB added. Finger detangled and added pumpkin seed butter on ends. Kept on for 5 minutes.
Rinsed out with cold water (upside down)
Added a little bit of Curl Junkie Honey Butta close to ends (no raking, just scrunched or lightly smoothed on).
Blotted out the drippies with Curls Like Us towe, then air dried.

co-washed with Suave Coconut Conditioner
conditioned/detangled with HE Hello Hydration
rinsed out the conditioner
added ABBA Pure Gentle leave-in
twisted with AO Mandarin Magic Jelly + ORS Twist and Lock Gel

I felt like trying a new product combo today, so I revisited the AOMM. It's been sitting in my bathroom for months. I dunno why I didn't like it the last time, but today it felt LOVELY! I just dried my twists for about 30 minutes under a hooded dryer, and my hair feels great. Too bad it's rainy and gross outside, so I'll be keeping my hair twisted in a twist bun when I make it out of the house.

i'm rocking two-strand twists, so all i had to do was shake my hair after removing my bonnet and scarf. i applied some coconut oil to the length and pinned back a few twists to keep them out of my face.

  1. Cowashed with Herbal Essences Totally Twisted...I'm in love with this thick, creamy, ultra-moisturizing, and really inexpensive condish. I LOVE it.
  2. Didn't rinse...just combed and squeezed out the extra conditioner and smoothed.
  3. Scrunched in wheat germ oil (love this too, gives amazing shine and ultra sealing)
  4. Shook a bit, used a finger to define some specific coils, and left.
This is my new, easy regimen that gives me seriously great hair

I used a whopping one product in my hair today. Finally, got around to using the Yes to Cucumbers Daily Makeover Conditioner. Cowashed with it, rinsed, then used a bit as a leave in, raked through, dried a bit (with diffuser) to get some of the moisture out, pulled back into a puff with one of my wide headbands. My hair was so soft after it was completely dry .
