I did a twist out using Naptural85 twist out 101 method and it was a out mess. My hair was super frizzy. I have to get this together by winter. The plan was to do wng in the summer and protective styles in the winter. But if I don't get the hang of twist outs im going to throw braids in my hair.
Tonight:
Prepooed with Olive/Grapeseed oil
Sectioned and shampooed with Chagrin Valley Ayurvedic Poo Bar
followed w an ACV rinse
detangled with Trader Joes Nourish Spa
DC'ed with Desert Essence Coconut Conditioner
added Yes to Cucumbers sealed with Hairveda Almond Glaze & Set in braids

i needed that baddd, my hair & scalp feel SO much better!

I've been struggling with my twist outs too. At first I just gave up after a couple attempts because it looked so crazy. I started watching br0nzeqt's videos which have helped me a bit. Her twist outs are not super defined, yet they are still really cute. She also shows a lost of cute ideas on how to style your twist out and maintain it. One day I finally got my twist out to look decent, & I could see a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm still struggling big time with them but I think the key is to keep playing with your hair until you find the technique that works for you. I'm going to keep working at it because the length I get from a twist out is so much better than a wash & go. This Texas heat makes my wash & go's shrink up major. Good luck with the twist outs. Hopefully, we'll both get it together by winter.

Co-washed with Hello Hydration. Added a little more as I got out of the shower. Topped it off with some EVOO and kept it moving. I love it. No need to tamper with perfection.

Last night I picked it out and did some big braids, spritzing each section with water and a bit of Eco Argan. This morning, took out the braids and got rid of the parts with my fingers and put some of Kyra's mango butter again, but just on the canopy to tame the frizzies.

I mixed up a hair mask from 1 mango, 1 lime, some hair cholesterol, 1 tbsp of olive oil and a cpl squirts of my fave conditioner. I left it on for 40 min and after rinsing my hair was so soft, moisturized and manageable. Detangling was a breeze!

I then roller set it cuz I plan to hot comb it for my college graduation this weekend. Figured I'd have it straight for the special occasion, plus it'll be easier for my cap to stay on lol...
