Thanks NEA and JaylensMami!

Ok, we have a winner. I'm on day 5 of this WnG and haven't had to refresh with a daggone thing.

Very surprised about this.... Guess the hold is better than I thought. This detangler's moisture delivery is damn good!

How are you liking the Montego Bay Hair Oil?? My dad took mine before I could even try it.

Okay...well...uhmmm...LOL! I'd have to hunt daddy down, for real. Family NEVAH walks off with the stuff you don't want.

I love it...mine smells like "Creme Brulee". I've been using it as a sealer, over a mist of water, or a water-based lotion/cream/butter....like I use most oils. I don't do hot oil treatments, and while I plan to try oil-rinsing, I wouldn't use this oil for that. It's too pricey. It's in current rotation. My hair absorbs it, and it's not greasy.

BTW, what were your thoughts on the Afiya products? I was TOTALLY disappointed, and I had high hopes. The Moisturizing Conditioner was...uneventful. The Hair Butter was...nothing special. I gave both away.

LOL, I knew I would be ordering another Mo Bay oil.

Yep, unfortunately, I have moved on from the Afiya products. The condish is not a cowash condish but I'm using this big tub up darn it. Its a definite disappointment.

I oil rinse monthly and am always looking for an oil blend to use that smells yummy and I found an oil from Etsy seller Eleven35 that I plan to use for oil rinsing. Its not super greasy and the mango heat scent is great (its like a "deep night-time" fruity scent not overpowering). It doesn't have all of those exotic ingredients but I'm trying to avoid coconut oil and this was perfect. It has Safflower, Apricot Kernal, Sweet Almond, Jojoba, Aloe, Olive, Rosemary and Neem oils. Its been great on my super sensitive skin so far. Ill let you know how the oil rinse goes.

Last night, spritzed hair with Maven Mist LI & sealed ends with raw shea butter. Twisted hair using Dr. Akbari's method. This morning wearing a curly fro.

Oh yeah, bought the tangle teezer this weekend from Sallys. Goodbye finger detangling for good. That brush is awesome!

Last night, co-washed with CJ Cleansing Conditioner. Totally love this stuff, has good slip and is so moisturizing.

Then used Shea Moisture Voluminizing Conditioner as a LI. Then I put on grapeseed oil and blow dried my hair to about 90% dry before twisting it with Taliah Wajeed's Lock It Up Gel. This is only the second time this year I've blow dried it. I hardly ever blow dry my hair as it is and I normally wouldn't consider it in the summer, but I have a date tonight and when I wash my hair at night, it only gets to about 60-75% dry the next morning and I don't want frizzy undefined hair. I took the twists down but I didn't like the way my hair was falling. So I wanted to do an updo, but I suck at those. Then I remembered how a friend recently styled her hair. She'd done a twistout (she'd said it was a braidout but her hair didn't look wavy enough for a braidout to me) but she'd done two flat twists on each side of her head, pinned those back and left the middle of out in a sort of mohawk. I tried it with the two flat twists on each side, but it looked jacked up, but when I did just one on each side, my hair looked decent. I'll post a picture later.

Yesterday, I cowashed with VO5 Replenishing Conditioner (I use the cheap conditioners for cowashes because I go through them so quickly! ) Then I applied Hair Paashion and used Eco Styler Olive Oil Gel...and that completed my wash n go. I took a headband/wrap and pulled it up high so that I had somewhat of an afro puff ...

Today, my curls were still nice when I woke up but I wanted to give them a little kick so I spritzed my hair with water, applied 2 palm fulls of Lustrasilk Right On/Curl Max Curl Activator Moisturizer -- it's in a new brown bottle instead of the white one. Then I used a little Eco Styler Olive Oil Gel around my edges to reslick them down and put my hair back up into an afro puff. I think it looks kinda cute! This will be my updo of choice for a while -- I BC on 04/02/2011!

I'm trying to overcome my product junkie ways I was a big fan of Miss Jessie's for a while but I was spending so much money. I'm trying to get the same results using cheaper products and so far it's working out great. I'm finding that I can pretty much use anything as long as I condition regularly and keep it moisturized and use a little gel.

@Reeky, did it take your hair awhile to adjust to the poo bars? I just tried the Ayurvedic poo bar this morning and followed it up with an ACV rinse. my hair was frizzy/fluffy but very soft after I rinsed and conditioned and even did a DC and it was still frizzy/fluffy. I'll try it again in a couple of weeks, because it could have been the pre-poo I did overnight using Vatika Oil.

I went swimming so I co-washed my hair with Honey Hemp and then left some in for a LI.

My hair was twisted before I swam and most of them stayed in, but I retwisted a few with Hair Dew and I pinned them into an updo.

Your very very welcome!

So today I did my 2nd homemade PT (egg yolks, mayo & evoo) and it turned out great! I added a bit more mayo to it and let it sit for 2hrs before I washed w/SM moisture retention shampoo and then DT under the dryer w/SM condish & coconut oil. After I rinsed I applied my whipped shea butter and put my hair into bantu knots to air dry. I will definitely be making my own PT from now on!

I've been determined to master a Bantu knotout. After seeing Elle's most recent vid I'm attempting it on dry banded hair. I really hope it turns out as nice as hers, my last attempt was just a frizzy mess! Here we go my 4th attempt... Please send positive hair thoughts my way (lol a bit dramatic I know)

It's okay, but I can't say I'd spend another $25 on it. It smells like Khoret Amen - the oil. Khoret Amen is "herbally", and not in a good way, to me. I've never liked it. But, I knew what it was going to smell like going in. Yes, my hair was easy to detangle, but when I washed it out, my hair didn't feel any better/worse than it usually does.

I'm not a fan of Carol's Daughter products anyway - I just got caught up while I was in Sephora.
