So... 4a/b's What did you do to your hair today?

Like Tree1292Likes

Big Chopped last week so I'm still experimenting with my hair products to see which ones work best together.

Today I Co-washed with Tresemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture. I towel blot my hair and added some Giovanni Direct Leave in, then some Ecostyler gel (argan oil). At first my hair was white. I guess the GDLI had not been absorbed by my hair yet. So I put my steaming cap on for a couple of minutes and bam! My TWA was transformed. #washandgo

So my question to everyone is this. I BC'd a little over a month ago and previously I used to be able to apply water, shea butter and then brush and my curls would stay defined w/no manipulation. However now it seems like when I go to brush the definition wants to go away in one section. Is that normal and is my hair just adjusting or could that be due to the fact that I just colored my hair?

braidout was frizzy so I Spritzed my hair with water, sealed with Hairveda Avosoya and rebraided.. set the ends on rollers w more mango butter
my hair is soft, shiny defined and bouncy
im happy and mad cause idk if it was the jessicurl, mango butter or the protein thats got it feelin like this and now I gotta figure it out LOL
I finally did a henna almost gloss (not equal parts henna/conditioner). It had been over 6months since my last one.

Rajasthani Henna mixed with green tea and 3/4 tablespoons of Bear Fruit Orange Blossom and Honey Rose Conditioner (needed to use this up) - left on for 3 hours

DC with Silk Dreams - Vanilla Silk Cream Moisture Dream

The plan, braid up and wear a hat for the next 3 days using the below:

LeaveIn - CJ Curl Rehab (Gardenia-Coconut Scent)

Styler for box braids - Original Moxie Shape Shifter

Sealer - Dax Grease (Green kind)

**sophisticated ignorance, I type my cuss words in cursive**

Current Rotation (always changing): Curl Junkie Curl Rehab as my Leave-In, Blended Beauty Happy Nappy Styles, Entwine Argan Oil, Bobeam Shampoo Bars, QB CTDG and QB AHTB, UFD Curly Magic, B.A.S.K Anything.

Never tried the LI or the DC but now they are on the list too!

I don't really post often but today had amazing results with my hair today.
I washed with john Frieda's Curl Around shampoo, Conditioned with HEHH, Moisturised with Kimmay's recipe (edited KCKT and added Cantu Shea Butter) and styled with Curly qs curling custard. My hair is defined, soft, and smells great. I haven't had great results with Curls products recently without layering with their own products so was quite surprised to have my hair looking and feeling amazing. Just wish I could find the silly wire to connect my camera to the cpu.

hair dry today but shiny. I think I used to much olive oil in my detangling concoction.
olive oil doesn't mix well w/ gvp cb, I gotta find a better conditioner to detangle w/.
I applied QB BRBC so hopefully I'll be soft tomorrow.

I had somewhere important to be and I just didn't want those few grays popping up in the front so I figured it wouldn't hurt to color 2 weeks early since the color was already 'visibly' gone...boy was I wrong!

Everything was good after I initially colored but even w/moisturizing twice daily my curl pattern temporally loosened and when I normally brushed w/my denman it defined my curls more but they were turning into a big puff ball. THANK GOD all my hair needed was an overnight coconut oil treatment and it was good to go! My lovely curls are back and popping! My lesson has been learned. I will not color ahead of schedule again!

There's nothing like a scare/thought of damaging your hair to remind you of how much you love it!

Refreshed 5 day old WnG originally styled w/kccc pudding (which is KCCC, tresseme naturals condish, & evoo mixed together). I had to figure out something to do w/the KCCC because I didn't want to waste it.
