Small/medium twists... I don't know how many or how long it took cuz i don't typically make them this size. Hated my life while I'm the process.

Please help me fix this sideways pic thing.

Damn Fefe! Your hair is GEORGOUS! I still can't get myself to twist hair. I still don't think I have the brain and dexterity to do this. LOL. Could you please make a pic next time of your hair twisted so that I can see what it looks like before you untwist it. Thanks! And that makeup is to die for!

Fefe, by the way I like the smoothie too but not to style a wash and go. It is a great deep condish and I could see how great it would be for twists/twistouts. But it sucks as a curl enhancer for type 4 hair, I think.

lol it's all in your head it's so easy and thanks I'll probably retwist it tonight and I'll take a pic for ya, then you can really see how simple it is lol. Thanks for the makeup compliment also I keep it pretty simple a little revlon colorstay liquid foundation elf high definition finishing powder and $1 elf gel eye liner or I'll just wear black opal concealer and the elf powder nothing special

Here goes the pics of how my hair looks after I twist it. The white stuff is just some of the SM curl enhancing smoothie that will just dry clear Sometimes I use the end of a rattail comb to part the sections into neat squares, but most of the time I just use my fingers and don't try to part it so perfect because it helps when you take it down so that you don't have to worry about hiding the parts.

Fefe thanks so much for the twist pics. I will try to recreate but what took you 30 minutes might take me 2 hrs lol.

Silly question: I thought twists were braids; I a retard o). Please how do you twist. U take a strand of hair and roll/twist it onto itself ? Do u put an elastic band on each twist? Not sure
From the picture.

Thanks!

This weekend for a party I was hosting I flat ironed my hair for what will probably be the last time until this fall! It is so long, hip length achieved but today I had to trim the ends. I find it difficult to see all the ends with curly hair so now that it is straight for a little while I went to work with my shears trimming the ends and making sure they are nice and healthy looking. I find after I trim I still need to go through my hair in sections and look for any splits or unhealthy looking ends because not all the hairs on my head are the same length so one blunt cut doesn't get at all the ends. It's takes forever but I do it over a few days while I'm watching TV or something.

I'm trying to grow the front bang sections of my hair a bit longer they are collar bone length now. I like the length and health of my hair but I'm looking forward to going curly again for two reasons.
1. I will lose some length when I'm curly and my hair will stop snagging on everything and getting in my way and 2. I can go back to my daily gym workout routine and not worry about sweating lol.

I know this photo doesn't show the full length of my hair now it's just the top part but I still have no idea how to take a good shot from behind...I may need someone to take it for me be because I tried and ended up dropping my IPad.

Sorry guys I just saw that this topic was for a particular curl type which I dont have!! I just got this curly talk app so still figuring it out!! You can just ignore this because I don't know how to delete it.

you're very welcome and nope twists aren't the same as braids, braids are 3 strands and twists are two. you're just taking two strands and twisting them around each other, when you get to the end you just twirl the hair around your finger and it'll curl and hold so you don't need any extra bands. I'll post some links so you can see someone do it After you practice with it you can experiment with doing more twists and doing them bigger or smaller and seeing the different results you get with each. There are plenty videos that show how to do a twistout

I did a twistout again a few more twists and used beautiful textures moisture butter and some eco styler clear gel instead of my usual shea moisture. I love the way it came out and there wasn't any hardness yay

Fefe thanks so much for the videos. I will soon try to do the twists and post pics o). You should be a hair stylist.

In the meantime here are pics of my lazy wash and go using my most favorite not homemade curl activator,
Hawaiian Silky Curl Activator. No other product defines my curls like that (2nd fav is FSG or AVG).
