Why I chopped: heat damage/breakage
Luv'd my permed hair I just didnt take care of it.
LUVVV my natural hair!!!
Co-Wash: Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Conditioner (old formula)
Moisturizer: Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie
Gel: DIY Chamomile-Infused Flax Seed Gel
End Sealant: Castor Oil
Edge Sealant: Njoi Creations Ayurvedic Hair Butter

Style: 18 chunky twists for twist-out

Co-washing made my hair feel super soft. I'll experiment with co-wshing more in the future. Also, my flax seed gel was super slippery. I think it's 'cause I made a super thick batch. I hope my hair turns out nice. *crosses fingers*

Detangle: Nature's Gate Hemp Nourishing Conditioner

Cleanse: SM Deep Cleansing Shampoo
Leave-In Condition: Alba Botanica Leave-In Conditioner

I plan on rinsing this henna out at some point lol...I get super lazy when I do anything overnight. Then DCing, and then some type of flat twist protective style for the week.
I think I have to trim my hair. The ends look a little ratty. Can tuck-and-pin styles damage the ends? I think that might be it because I trimmed two months ago and my hair usually looks fine for more than half a year.
Yesterday I had a full hair spa day. I haven't seen my hair in 7 weeks and totally missed it. :-)

Removed Senegalese twist
Hot Oil Treatment as my pe-poo
Shampooed with washed with Shea Moisture Retention Shampoo.
Deep Conditioned with Ojon Rare Blend Once I put the Ojon conditioner on my hair
Sealed with my oil mixture (argan oil, olive oil, castor oil and vitamin 3 oil) and shea moisture deeo treatment masque
Flat twist the front of my hair and two-strand twist/perm rod set the back
Happy to feel my hair again. Its so soft today and bouncy.
Mine has been in plaits for two weeks now underneath wigs. Since using the LOC moisturizing method, I don't have to manipulate and remoisturize my hair as much. I only have to remoisturize once or twice, at most, a week.

I'm determined to mess with my hair as little as possible so I can reach MBL when stretched by the end of the year.

GOC 2009! Who's with me!
Today i was dealing with a bit of dryness from an 3 day old twistout so i decided to remoisturize my hair with Elasta QP Olive Oil and Mango Butter Moisturizer and African Pride Olive Miracle Growth Oil. All i did was section my hair in 5 big sections, applied the moisturizer then sealed with the oil and finger coils the ends of each section with a little more of the moisturizer. It redefined my curls and made my hair extremely soft!
Took down my braids a while ago...just been doing twistouts.
Got some vo5 n my hair. That stuff really soaks in. It was twisted up n a bun with condish still n it n the pic.

Probably going to rinse it this am and....do something with it.
Btw, my sugarfoot turned 2 n may. Her hair is a 3b and maybe 4a n the middle. Totally unlike mine lol

Shampoo, dc , twists. Usually I clarify every week but I used a different shampoo the last two weeks. First week good. Second week dry. My hair needs to be very clean to absorb moisture well. I clarified which I'm going to try doing every other week.now.. I put a little oil that has Keratin in my dc because I thought my hair needed a pep. Bad. my hair became sooo tangled like it does when I have protein overload. Not as bad as the protein episode when I had to cut an inch of hair from so many tangles. I think my next cowash and I will be okay. And the protein did strengthen my pattern.
