So... 4a/b's What did you do to your hair today?

My hair had been acting REAL crazy so I had to show her who's the boss:

I washed with full-strength Kinky-Curly Come Clean, did a second wash with diluted castile soap/black soap mixture, then did a deep conditioner with Aveda Damage Remedy conditioner mixed with Garier Fructis Mosture Works conditioner. After that I ran some Yes To Tomatoes conditioner thru to comb out (that stuff has real slip) and rinsed out. I got out of shower and applied Curl Junkie Curl Assurance Leave In, let it soak in , then a bit of castor oil mixed with olive oil. After a couple minutes I shingled in some Donna Marie MiraCurls Curling Jelly and left the house. I SOTC with Jane Carter Nourish and Shine and my hair is FANTASTIC! Soft, defined, under control (or it will be until I touch it one time too many)!

Thanks to whomever suggested using castor oil underneath my gel. I am also having NO scalp itchies today, even though it is hot and dry, with fierce AC in the building where I work.

Cassia! My hair feels great!
Big chop: 5/30/10
CG, clarify with Aveda Brilliant Shampoo when needed
Dense, medium-fine strands, lowish porosity. Avoiding glycerin outside the shower.
Cowash:Suave Coconut Conditioner.
Leave in: YtCucumbers and EVOO
Styling Products: Flaxseed gel, Phillip B Soft Hold Gel, KMF Upper Management Gel
DC: Doctored GVP or Suave conditioner
Cleanser: Bentonite clay
Last night mixed Amla oil, EVOO, shea butter, coconut oil together. Applied to hair. Fell asleep.. lol so it was in all night.. Thats a DEEP DEEP CONDITIONER!

This morning woke up. Used the Mill Creek Biotene H-24 Pack (shampoo, conditioner, and a leave in). It claims to thicken hair, the kit cost $17.. so far I'm impressed, been using it for a month or two.

*Hair is reponding VERY well to this kit. I was worried cuz it cost so much but the kit together works for me especially after a pre poo deep condition. Curls/coils come out juicy after using it and I swear I have hair growing in on my scalp where I didn't even know hair was missing... about two weeks after the second use I could feel all these new little buds everywhere! Now those buds have length (about an inch). My hair really likes that leave in, but its such a tiny bottle. I'll have to buy some more seperately!*

To hold curl and add strength, sprayed in aloe vera water + infusium 23 mix (put in old spray bottle that provides a very very light misty spray bout 1/2 and 1/2),

Sprayed in some kinky Curly Spiral Spritz all over shook it some more, rake quickly. Brown gel the front, head band it back..

Dang these curls are WORKIN!!!!

I think im a 4a... some have said I look like a 3c.. but Im almost positive this is a 4a head (maybe a lil 3c in the front)

Woke up, spritzed it with some Jane Carter and raked through hair with coconut oil laced fingers...fluffed and went.I did next to nothing to my hair today! I'm so happy because I am on day 5 of a roller set from Urbanbella that still looks good (my rollersets never last that long for whatever reason). A stranger told me I looked like Corrine Bailey Rae at brunch today so I am taking that as a hair compliment.

Now if I could just master the wash'n'go...
I wore a wash n go, now im putting in mini twists
3c front crown,4a in middle back

Applied Yes to Cucumbers leave-in conditioner, finger detangled, and sealed with castor oil.

I really wish they made Yes to Cucumbers in a bigger bottle.

I placed my damp hair in a bun with a side part to the front. I gathered a some of the hair to the front and did some twists using Blended Cutie Down & Out Styles.

Sooooo in love with this Blended Beauty product. WOW!

These tangles are making me sad. Jan- April I had minimal problems but since then my hair is acting a fool with these tangles.

I lost more hair today than I ever have. I recently brought out my silicone conditioners from underneath the cabinet to stop it. My hair in the shower it felt great but after the rinse my hair felt hard. So rewashed and used a different conditioner.

I may buy a water filter. Not sure what the problem is here.

Today, I rinsed my hair after wearing it straight for two days. I made sure to trim off some single strand knots.

Then I deep conditioned my hair with honey, conditioner, oils and mayo. I wanted to make sure my hair had every chance to revert back to it's natural curls.

Afterwards I shampooed with AO rosehip seed shampoo and conditioned with aussie moist conditioner. My hair reverted, but there was some lazy pieces, I'm sure they will be fine after more deep treatments. ANYWAY, I then applied leave-in and then gelled(shingled) my hair with eco styler clear gel.

That's all folks.
Day before yesterday I used Homemade FSG and Blended Beautys Down and out Styles to style, very nice hold together. Yesterday I slept wild so I water rinsed and added a little bit of Botanical Spirits Magic Curls Puree.

Many compliments today!

Having a great 2nd day hair day from washing with EO Rose Geranium, Yes to Cukes as rinse out, John Masters Organics as leave in + Burdock Root Butter cream on ends, and KCCC to gel. It could be the low dewpoint, but there is zero frizz. Used Devacurl Set if Free + shea butter to fluff it out.

First, I sprayed my hair with a tiny bit of water, rubbed about 8 drops of Hot Six Oil in my hands and massaged my scalp to wake up the cells (i guess, lol). Next I sprayed a mix of Knot Today and fresh water all over my hair until it was damp. Then I rubbed a dime sized amount of CD's Healthy Hair Butter all over my hair, and then picked it out.

Oh, and might I add: This is the first time my hair has ever, EVER felt so soft! For the last few days it has been like a bush, dry and knotty no matter how much I try to correct it. But I guess it's just a matter of working with whatcha got!
In time I want my hair to be big like yours. Hopefully that'll be soon!
