Big knit hats

Can someone tell me where I can find these? They look like crochet and a lot of people with locs sometimes wear them. I want to wear them this winter to cover my twists for extra hot, fashionable protection. I saw some at Claire's but them things was like 14 bucks. No thank you.

I have a couple and I don't remember where I got them but (at least to me) $14 seems pretty reasonable... I've never seen them priced below $10. I have one that's simple and that was $5 (the one below)

Have you tried urbanoutfitters, they have knit beanies and berets but not as big as the rasta ones your talking about.
I know for a fact you can find them on ebay if you type in "knit beret/knit beanie".

knit beanies from urban outfitters:http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban...&id=W_ACC_HATS

their hair accessories are really cute too!

Yea I checked them a long time ago and them things are dang near 30 bucks. That's crazy talk! Karua you look cute in yours, btw. That's how I want to rock mine.

Stephanie, I don't need one as big as the loc ones, I just didn't know another thing to compare it to. Those are nice on UO, though and thanks for posting the link. I might check etsy.

Not sure where you live but here (Hudson Valley,NY) they sell them in the BSS believe it or not LOL
Etsy definitly has some nice ones, they are on my list of things to buy, but I'd like to wait until my hair gets longer.

I bought two of those in Cambridge at a place called The Garment District. They sell things at $1.50 a pound so I think I paid like 10 cents for it LOL

I wear hats like this all the time with my twists! I buy them pretty cheap from Forever21.com. You'll see them called "chunky beret", "slouchy" beret" or "beanie". They run about 6-9 bucks. I think Wetseal.com carries them as well for cheap.

I really want a hat like this too!

They go by Rasta or Tam beanies.
I'm "TechKnockout" now.
i just bought one this past friday from the beauty supply store. it was $7.99...i plan on going back to get a grey one.
forever21 has them in all sort of fresh colors, with that handmade look for <$15... FYI, when I wear my lil knit hats, I put a bonnet or something under it to prevent breakage & to lessen the occurence of frizz.
They are in this season and seem to be almost everywhere. I have bought them at Rainbow and at Wild Pair in Atlanta. I wear a wave cap underneath to protect my curls.
Everything they said. They are called tams (what the ppl with locs wear). I have purchased them from Wet Seal, HM, and heard about forever 21 selling them as well. Etsy is also a good place to find them! $14 is a reasonable price, but please don't pay more than that. I walked into Urban outfitters a few weeks ago when I was looking to purchase and once I saw that $24.99 tag, I walked out

I was just going to suggest Forever21...but msjaim beat me to the punch. I just bought a few for 5.50 each. I haven't been in an H&M in a while (they don't have them where I go to school) but that may also be an alternative place to look for them.

Thanks all of you for letting me know where I can find these. Maria, I'm jealous of your $1.50 purchase. The goal is to be under $15. 5.99 sounds right up my alley. Partay, thanks for telling me the real name of these, that's awesome. Thanks again, kids

I have a couple patterns for these hats I'm excited about trying them out. I just have to find the right yarn for them.
I saw all different styles at Kmart, I luckily got mine from the dollar store, for $1.50, but I got the one with the bill on the front.
