I'm loving these bantu knot outs! They look like little springy pig tails!

Ooh! I'm getting so excited to be fully natural! That's good because this is my toughest transition month so far. I was starting to get discouraged.

I also posted in the 3c forum, I've been natural for years and never tried to figure out my hair type!

The 1st pic is of my haircut just a few days ago. Second pic with the bangs is a month ago.

I guess since I have tightly curly hair and never straighten it takes awhile for me to see growth. My moisture has been feeling off so I did a hot oil treatment with EVOO. I slathered it in sections on dry hair then twisted each section and pinned up up. Covered with plastic cap and sat under dryer for 20 minutes and this is what I got. I got major stretch. I didn't realize my hair was so massive and actually I still have a bald section from dealing with my alopecia.

ps the evoo treatment made my hair feel like new again. i followed with a shampoo.

I will be 2 months natural Wednesday. I've got 3.5 inches of growth!
Here is my "puff". I left my bangs out, unpicked and untouched. How does it look? I don't color my hair either. I'm pretty sure I'm 4a/4b. (not a very high resolution picture...)
