Twist out-my hair was parted in 6 sections and set using coconut oil, soy butter, and jasmine tea.

Thanks!!! That was a conditioner wash n go with Tresseme Naturals with Ouidad's climate control gel on top. What's been the trick for me with wng's is to apply product in sections on freshly washed wet detangled hair. I try to let it air dry as much as possible, but if I'm ready for bed, I put my hair in three loose braids, leaving my ends unbraided so as to not disturb the curl. I take the braids down in the morning to let it finish drying. After a few nights of sleeping in a low pony it'll stretch out, so it's not as compacted. I fluff it out in the shower so I get moisture from the steam and then apply a cream once I get out. That pic was day 5 hair.

Default lovin the Dew Point Today
Yay Glycerin is back!

I got a little aggressive finger-combing my hair in the shower today - ripped out a knot. I was pretty peeved at myself, but then I styled with some Donna Marie and I'm in heaven. Loving the dew point today. Spring is in the HAIR!

Default My Turn!
I have been going through this thread with a wide toothed comb (I know fine toothed isn't welcome here) for the last three days and I finally registered. I am pretty sure I have about 3 textures... Well idk. I think some of my mixed background clashes in my hair, but it's pretty tight in some places and almost wavy in others. I've been reading the Curly Girl Handbook and I think i have fractal/zizag and some corkicelli curls. Anyways pics.

My attempt at the tightly curly method mixed with the curly girl method.

I used Beautiful Curls shampoo for curly to kinky hair... It says sulfate free, but it still lathers so idk if I'm gonna keep using it. I also used KinkyCurly Knot Today and Coconut oil, I think. I think I did too much twisting. I also need a shape bad.

And this, is bad picture taking, but is my attempt at shingling with KCCC and all that other stuff I mentioned, except no coconut oil.


My hair is so densely packed, it's hard to see the different textures. I hope a hair twin finds me. *fingers crossed*

^ Curly just because it lathers doesnt mean its not sulfate free. I like BT shampoo. Its not bad at all and you do get a lot of lather
