On my goodness, my natural hair type might look the same as yours. I do relaxed my hair sometimes, but when I go without a touch up for 2-6 months. My new growth is very S-curl wavy with afro-textured hair and it very dry. I checked out 4a and 4b hair types their hair type is coily; my natural hair is not coily what so ever. It same texture as 4a and 4b, but not the same curl pattern. I know for sure, I lost majority of my hair due to bad relaxer burn back when I was a 5th grader in 2001 and I wore rest of my hair natural for a year straight. Oh yeah, I have baby hair on my side burns and back of my head. (Where the kitchens are at) What is your hair type?

Jumping right in. This is an hour ago. I just unraveled my twists. I BC'd in November of last year to about 1".
And here's what my hair looks like when I wash and go w/o detangling:

I can't figure out how to post pictures inside a thread, but I attached a thumbnail instead. I'm pretty sure that I'm a 4a (now... I used to think that I was 4a with 3c though  ), this pic is from a month ago, I've since cut off all my relaxed ends. All you ladies are true inspirations!

Mostly fine hair, coarse around my edges and nape.
Definitely high porosity and insanely dense.
Not so sure on the elasticity, but I don't think I have a very good moisture/protein balance and my hair is ubber dry, so I'm going to go with low... of course I could be very wrong.
Regimen:
Cowash/RO: HEHH, AIA Coconut Cowash
PT: Ion Effective Care Treatment
DT: Any condish with EVOO+Honey
LI: SM CES or PM The conditioner
Styler: EcoStyler Olive Oil, KCCC, or Let's Jam

Here's my 4b hair....semi wet. No definition at all. I still love it though, my curlformer sets last forever!
this after I rinsed out an ayurveda paste. not the best shot of my hair but you get the picture.

My hair after henna/indigo (1.5 weeks ago) and amla (this past friday).
I love the shiny black, amla revived most of my curliness yet I was still able to keep the smoothness and shine from the henna and indigo treatment. Oh and after I did the Amla friday, I DT with AOHSR and did a ACV rinse. twisted my hair and curled the twists with flexirods. I don't think the camera could capture how thick my hair is right now! I love it.

I never though my hair was creative enough for that. When I see the other girls fotki, I'm impressed. Also, I'm so new to all this. My hair is just starting to have some length. So the most I've played around w/ is doing the straight look. It has grown nicely. When it gets longer, I'd like to do twists & rodsets, etc. I try the twists every now & then. But, I'm still not happy with how it comes out. I think it would look much nicer once it has more length. But I love my curls.
