Salvaging old products

So I have had this CD healthy hair butter in my fridge for quite a while...assuming it's still even good I decided to mix it up with aloe and some apricot kernel and coconut oil...

Hmm I sort of over did it with the aloe and added more oil because it was coming apart. Needless to say I already hate CD HHB, I find it to be too heavy.

I will try this concoction out this weekend if I don't get my Qhemet stuff.

Any others ways you go about stretching or adding new life to a mediocre product?
Shampoo: Giovanni 50:50, Nexxus Aloe Rid
Detangling Conditioner: Oyin Honey Hemp, EO Sweet Orange
Cowash Conditioner:
Suave Naturals Sea Breeze, V05 Tea Therapy, Oyin Honey Hemp
Deep Conditioner: CJ Hibiscus & Banana Deep Fix, Spa Siam Coconut Hair Mask, Yes to Carrots Mud Mask
Leave-in Conditioner: Afroveda NU Milk Hair Conditioner, CJ Hibiscus & Banana Honey Butta Leave-in, Knot Today
Stylers: SheaMoisture, JC Nourish and Shine, Burdock Root Butter Cream, Afroveda CocoLatte Moisture Mask
i'm not sure that adding oils would help in making the product less heavy. sounds like CD HHB is a perfect candidate for a deep conditioner now that you've added the oils!

how did the concoction work for you?
natural since 1998. trying to adapt to this midwest weather while still keeping it simple. current length: MBL (stretched)
