The karkady tea replenishing mist has changed ingredients slightly too:
OLD Ingredients:
Aqueous extracts of Karkady (Hibiscus sabdariffa), Fenugreek (Foenum-graecum), Olive Leaf (Olea europa), Burdock Root (Arctium lappa) and Thyme (Thymus vulgaris), MSM Sulfur, Vegetable Glycerin, Sodium Lactate, Glyceryl Polyacrylate, Scent
NEW Ingredients:
Aqueous extracts of Karkady (Hibiscus sabdariffa), Olive Leaf (Olea europa), Burdock Root (Arctium lappa) Lemongrass and Thyme (Thymus vulgaris), MSM Sulfur, Vegetable Glycerin, Sodium Lactate, Glyceryl Polyacrylate, Scent
fenugreek is out
lemongrass is in
I have to say, I like the QB mist better than the Oyin Juices & Berries. The QB really softened my hair, not just made it wet. The Oyin really scented my hair. The herbal scent of the QB mist works for me. I don't mind having a less fruity smelling head.

I too noticed this, but I was GLAD for the change because the old K-mist (the one with the regular spray dispenser) made me want to vomit and I could never bring myself to use it (even diluted) or I would gag

i just purchased this spritz today and I don't like it as much as Oyin. Oyin juices and berries and frank juice are so softening and moisturizing to my hair and the qhemet mist didnt seem to do anything at all it smells wierd; maybe i got a bad one. I am going to finish the Karkady mist and see how it works over time.

I thought I had an allergic reaction to this but it was another product. I am so happy because this spray really softens my hair. Just wish it came in a bigger size

I really like the Oyin Sprays... they help me detangle before I begin my wash routine. But the smells are a bit strong for me... I had to sell my J&B because I couldn't tolerate the scent anymore. Right now I'm digging the Frank Juice. I also find that the Oyin sprays just wet my hair and then dry sticky.
That being said, after reading this thread, I just purchased the Karkady Mist... the mere fact that my fellow curlies are saying that this spray is "BETTER" than Oyin, truly has me curious.

I have the same experience with oyin. Both the J&B and greg juice dried my hair, but it's a sticky dry BUT it works well for me when I have kinky twists. On loose hair, it's just a dry mess
Also the K-mist left my hair sticky, but moist-feeling. I used it once or twice with some success, but the stickiness got to me (even diluted). I sold both bottles I had off I'm sad because it made my hair super soft

I had the pleasure of trying the Qhemet mist this weekend and LOVE IT! My hair was so darn soft and moisturized. I like it much better than oyin greg juice.
I have two bottles of j&b but haven't used either. I need to pull them out of the box. lol

I wasn't able to pick this up the last time I was going to get it and ended up missing out. I have a couple of bottles on hold now, but when I looked back at this thread and saw the glycerin in it, I'm worried now since its already chilly here.
Anyone still using this with success given the cooler temps?
I may still go ahead and get it, but wanted to hear from other ladies.

I received an old version of the spritz from a swap and I just love it. Fenugreek is the business . but I love the Lemongrass as well.
The only way a spritz will work for me is on a protective style. I cant use any spritz by any company because my loose hair doesnt get to absorb the spritz. Now on twists , its the business.
I never had any problem last winter but I always sealed after using a spritz anyway.

Thanks for this. I'm kind of the same way. Oyin's stopped working for me back in the summer and it broke my heart since I love the smell of that Frank Juice. I'm hoping I can get Qhem's KTRM over the weekend and try it out at some point.

I like it
I have been using this for two weeks and it makes my hair softer but if i over use it,it is sticky,I like it overall.
This is my first time buying a mist, i spray it on loose hair and scrunch it in.
Only thing is the smell, it is kind of weird. After i workout if i have used it i have to wash my hair right away bc the smell is yuck!
If i work out and i havent used it my hair smells fine.
*on a side note*
I also love the honeybush gel i received it on accident. They shipped me the wrong item so i ended up getting to keep it and i love it,and of course they sent me my beloved honey hydrating balm from my original order.
That is why I say larger sizes, and send small free samples to try...I love qhemet products and bc of their shipping mistake I am sold on yet another one of their products!

I used all of my Karkady Tea Replenishing Mist so made another batch to put my empty spray bottle to good use
3 oz aloe vera juice (not gel)
2 oz water
.6 oz sodium lactate
.5 oyin honey hemp conditioner
My hair smells wonderful (like the oyin honey hemp) and is soft and fluffy.

i agree ms. c,
Qhemet is missing out on sales by not including a sample or two. if i order $60 worth of products, why don't get at least one sample???
the same goes for Afroveda, Komaza and some other shops.

+2 windflower. I asked and received a sample of darcys deep conditioner. I liked it so much that I ordered the full size. Sometimes companies are short sighted. If Afroveda would send a sample or sell a sample of the Aiishi (sp) conditioner, and I liked it, I would buy a full size of it too. But I ain't gonna pay $21.95 for something I can't return.

i want to try that deep conditioner so badly...but i am with you. if i could only try a sample...
and i really wish Afroveda would separate her samples. i don't like sample sets...another vendor also has this setup...

I forgot to report about this.
I purchased a bottle and used it on my twists before taking them down and also on my twistout on the 3rd day, just to try it out. Nice fluffy and soft hair.
Because of the price, I treat it like liquid gold. I haven't used it since and I'll probably only use it as I need it. Not sure if I will repurchase, but I do really like it.

I bought this in the BF sale after not being all that impressed with the Greg Juice I got from Oyin. I mean it was ooookay, it did the job but it was a bit too sticky for me if you know what I mean. This seemed to be lighter so I thought I'd give it a go. And I didn't even see this thread until now. Nice to see some positive reviews...
