Default Water based moisturizers?

In the past I used ORS Carrot Oil but I'd really prefer something more natural. I already have KBB Hair Milk which I love but it works better for me mostly on wet hair. I would like something that I can also use on dry hair. Any other ideas? Thanks.

though not a water based moisturizer, shea butter works for me on wet or dry hair. i also like qhemet's burdock root (lighter than the amla olive one).

you could also use conditioner (just a tad)
