I use the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it has tourmaline ceramic plates with rounded edges which makes it great for also curling your hair and Pro Naturals Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment with Heat Protector, it helps strenghten the hair that's prone to breakage. This products work pretty good, my hair looks healthy, smooth, resilient and very straight.

I don't flat iron anymore, but tourmaline and not ceramic is the key. The Croc is a great one.
I also own a forma

The teeth on the maxiglide are removable? I did not know this! I just ordered one and tried it out on my hair. Loved it, but i'd like to try it without the teeth! How do you remove them?

Try using a good coned up conditioner with heat, then rinse and add your serum on wet hair, then blow dry, and if you really need to, add more serum before you flat iron, but you probably wont. For years people thought I had a relaxer and I never did. Try it. I pass a baor bristl brush before the iron as im straightening and blow dry with a comb or brush of some kind. HTH.

Just a warning about the Sabino - it mostly works if you flat iron on a temp of 475. That's incredibly high for someone who is natural and would want to wear their hair curly after washing out the flatironed style. When I was transitioning I flat ironed every 2 wks and Sabino never worked that great, but I also refused to flat iron on a temp that high. I still got heat damage, even without the temp being that high.

I recommend a Chi flatiron, but I think it's more about your method than the actual flatiron. The smaller the piece of hair your flat iron, the straighter your head will be once you finish. In terms of reverting advice, I have no clue. I just don't wear my hair straight during the hot/humid months.

I like the HAI convertible better then the chi, sedu and the others I've tried. I have 3c kinky curly hair that's frizz prone when straight and the HAI gets it silky and straight on a low heat setting.

When I flat iron I wash and condition with pantene then I lightly spray with nexus heat protecant and add a tiny dab each of Phytodefrisant botanical hair relaxing balm, victoria secret so sexy shine serum (omitting the phyto works fine too) then blow dry with a paddle brush and flat iron on low heat. It looks better then the salon and doesn't frizz. If I don't put any product in it, it frizzes up.
