Exclamation Miracle Whip instead of Mayo for Deep Treatment?

Hey every one, I wanted to do a deep treatment on my hair tonight with me protein and was gonna do the egg and mayo treatment but I don't have mayo, only miracle whip. Can I use that? They both have the egg and vinegar in it along with oils which is what I thought matter but every where I look people say only mayo but never give a reason. From the ingredients on te back they seem to be very similar. What do you think?

I used that mixed when I was in High School (lawwdd it's been so long), but I haven't tried it since going natural, I think Imma have to experiment again. I was happy with the result.

I don't think it really matters, but just an fyi, the protein molecules in eggs (which is where mayo gets the protein from) are too large to be absorbed into the cuticle of the hair, so its only really coating the hair and will most likely be washed off/removed after rinsing and styling.

Oh wow, see and all that stuff I read about using eggs for protein in hair was just a bunch of hog wash I guess!!?? I am trying to be easy with my spending with my spending for a while and didn't really want to have to buy a protein treatment for my hair if it were possible to make one myself. Darn!! Thanks again!

Well that's not to say that it won't help your hair...lol. Its just not going to penetrate into the hair, but it will fill gaps and "protein holes" in the top layer of the hair.
