Default Product???? to Reduce POOF and shrinkage

Hi all,

My daughter has 3b/4a hair and it is always dry. I used the Blended Beauty Whipped Butter and it helped a lot. However, I wanted something that would reduce the POOF and reduce the shrinkage. She has really BIG hair I have been looking for more reviews about the above lines. I would appreciate any input.

wonder if it might help if you describe the length and maybe a picture.... and also how you are trying to style it and how long does it need to stay without "re-poofing"?

how old is she?

is she wearing it loose? braiding? ponytail?

I attempted to do flat twists as you can see in the photo. (click on three_mom album) I would love to try something similar to LadyLboogie's hair is this image she posted under "My hair pics"

Judging from the pics, your daughter's hair seems to be 4a/4b. To get the look of LadyLboogie's hair, you could try a twist out. Your daughter's hair looks healthy - just be sure to focus on keeping it moisturized. It already looks like you're doing a good job.

I didn't vote because I couldn't choose between BB Styling Butter Cream and Curls Milkshake they are the 2 styling products I use the most. I love them both and use on different days.

The BB I use on very wet hair after wash as a moisturizer and curl definer. If I'm working with a poofy part of my hair, I add a drugstore gel or Curl Keeper (from Curly Hair Solutions). I smooth in product with fingers over small sections of hair.

On day 2+ after washing, I use Curls Milkshake on almost dry/barely wet hair to re-form & de-frizz without much shrinkage and without that super-long drying time. I can rub this in bunches of hair. Not much poof control, but I like volume. You can probably use more and smooth into smaller sections for less poof.

Here are some other products I use or have used that reduce volume/poof, give strong definition, and don't cause too much shrinkage:

Kinky Curly Curling custard - no silicons or stuff that builds up.
Tigi Control Freak Serum - contains one silicone
Curlisto Control II (mixed with another leave-in such as Curlisto Structure or Ouidad Botanical Boost) - contains one silicone and doesn't work well with oil-based products.

I will say that I use the bb happynappy, but I've started doing a layer of the bb stlying lotion first, then the happynappy, with better results.

I use the Styling Lotion sometimes for second day hair. It's very moisturizing. All the BB products are.
