Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Smooth-n-Hold Pudding

i recently saw a commercial advertising this. i really want to try it, in the past i've used the loc and twist gel and i love it. has anyone tried this yet?(for some strange reason i get excited when i see/here the word custard or pudding in hair products)

I hope the exit is joyful and I hope never to return-Frida Kahlo
I saw this is the bss today and I was thinking great .. another product I could add but nnnoooo... I read the ingredients and BAM! . . . . Mineral Oil (which is the 3rd ingredient) so I put it down and kept walking down the aisle. Oh well.

yeah i came in here because the thought of a product hte consistency of pudding has me excited

i dont know i think im ok with mineral oil! cant believe i said that

i think for the relative inexpensiveness of this product and maybe using it once a month for styling it shouldn't be an issue.

but then again that's me

i guess i wouldn't want to buy something i can't return etc so i doubt i ill be trying this

but i definitely am looking for something with this consistency
Shampoo: Giovanni 50:50, Nexxus Aloe Rid
Detangling Conditioner: Oyin Honey Hemp, EO Sweet Orange
Cowash Conditioner:
Suave Naturals Sea Breeze, V05 Tea Therapy, Oyin Honey Hemp
Deep Conditioner: CJ Hibiscus & Banana Deep Fix, Spa Siam Coconut Hair Mask, Yes to Carrots Mud Mask
Leave-in Conditioner: Afroveda NU Milk Hair Conditioner, CJ Hibiscus & Banana Honey Butta Leave-in, Knot Today
Stylers: SheaMoisture, JC Nourish and Shine, Burdock Root Butter Cream, Afroveda CocoLatte Moisture Mask
Looks kinda like the ingredients for MJ curly pudding...... but at the price it should be. I don't mind mineral oil either. I just clarify afterwards. I may try this too

Miss jessies
water, parafinium liquidum, glycerin, triethanolamine, fragrance, carbomer, PEG-12 dimethicone, dipropylene glycol, silk amino acids, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, avocado oil, shea butter, sweet almond oil, jojoba seed oil, macademia seed oil, oleth05, ethylhexyl methoxycinnanate, disodium EDTA, DMDM hydantion, ext. violet 2

This is about 30 dollars less

I haven't tried it yet.. I generally like the ORS line, but they sometimes do make products with mineral oil in them and I don't know why considering that's about as UN-organic an ingrediant as you can get.

p.s. April your hair is looking good!

My staples: Mane n Tail (cowash), Garnier Fructis Sleek n Shine (leave in condish), Grapeseed oil or shea butter (sealing), Organic Root Stimulator Elasticitea (leave-in condish & light hold)

I went out and bought it yesterday. I have a problem. But I'm so happy with that. I will wash this weekend. I may try it and report back but I also have not used my cantu yet so we'll see which one strikes my fancy when I'm twisting.
please let me know how it turns out. i just realized that my 2 fav. conditioners silicon mix and snail drool(that's what it translates to in english) have mineral oil , so i'm getting my hair pudding today after work. YIPEE

I also love silicon mix. I bought it and then found out abou tthe mineral oil, but with hair that soft, who cares?
How did it turn out? Did you like the results?

Hair Type: 4a

It's not bad being a product junkie, when it benefits someone else!
Don't like it, just keep walkin!!

it's a little on the heavy side my hair looked good but i had the kinda greasy/dry effect going on cause of the mineral oil or maybe i was just overdid did?

The PJ in me is going to find this product and try it out. It sounds like it may need to be used occasionally. It is good to have a backup product when the HG's run out.
I have it but haven't tried it for wash n' go's yet. Based on the "feeling" of the product, I don't think it will provide the "control/hold" i'm looking for, but it does slick back my hair well when I wear it pulled back in a low ponytail puff. The scent is ok...not bad, just a little strong and lingering...so you will constantly be smelling it throughout the day (which is another reason I haven't tried it all over for wash n' go's.)

the consistency of this stuff had me kinda pissed more lotion like not at all pudding/custard. the loc and twist gel is more pudding like. normally i open products and sniff/feel em out before i make my purchase but this was sealed(came with a free sample of edge control gel).

I just bought this product today and i love it so far. My hair is very soft and I have great curl definition. Im not sure about the wash n go factor but i will find out tomorrow morning.
I used and I like it so far I think my hair is a mixture between a 3c/4a. It soft and my curls are well defined and since I started using the product people have complemented me more on my hair and how curly it is. Usually my hair is just kind frizzy and it helped define the curls. Its good for wash and go's and braid out for a gel. I liked the edge control a lot as well for hairs that may need extra attention for example frizzy or straight parts. But overall i like it . It keeps my hair soft and keeps the style in hold and helps define my curls
I saw this in walgreens last night. Pretty cool looking.
This product gave a good looking braid out but my hair was dry the next day. That was to be expected. The product is marketed as a gel replacement. I will try it in the same manner as gel, with a moisturizer then the product. It is not moisturizing on its own.
the little edge control product is bomb! My edges have never laid down . No amount of gel, shea butter, brushing or scaves will make them lay down..but edge control does. Do they sell that separately?
