It may work out for you though, even with the glycerin. Not all glycerin products are made the same.
But thats not to say for you to not check and see what's up with the label

Oh yea, I'm gonna try it anyway - it looks lovely! Most of the time when I use products with glycerin my hair is soooo dry the next day.

Well with any gel its important to use a moisturizer. But I found that the gel was perfect. It didn't flake and it wasn't drying and my twist out lasted 4 days. It could have lasted longer but I needed to clarify my scalp

I always use a leave-in and moisturizer, but my hair is sensitive to glycerin b/c I live in SoCal...it's so dry here that when it's cold at night my fingers get all prune-like.
Oh, and I don't do twist outs...only WnGs, so I hope it works out for that!

Haven't heard back from her about the glycerin...but I will say that I used the gel last night and it was really good! It's very light though, so I combined it with my Ohm Sweet Hair Pudding. My hair is still a little wet this morning though (takes FOREVER to dry, sheesh).

This is good to know. I'll use it as a curl enhancer underneath a gel and see what happens.

OH! And it gives you the peppermint tingle, which I love. It smells like peppermint tea to me.

Update: She did verify that she removed the glycerin from the gels, so the label is wrong. However, she gave me this explanation -
"Glycerin is a humectant, which means it hold moisture in your hair....and that's not good for summer months....it will cause hair to expand or get poofy. I'ts all natural and good for the cold dry months, but not for the summer, because there is enough humidity in the hair."
Isn't that wrong? Aren't we not supposed to use glycerin when it's dry as the air will take the moisture from your hair?!

It is wrong for us in SoCal. It's dry all the time for us, and where I live, so dry that the glycerin conducts the moisture from my hair to the air. It really depends on the location where one lives.

Humectants are bad in the cold months/dry climates because their job is to draw from the most moist source. In cold/dry climates its not the air, but YOUR HAIR. This is why humectants should be avoided until higher dews(more humidity/moisture in the air) so that moisture is added to you hair and not taken away.

Ok.. I'm really liking this peppermint gel. Today was a low dew day and it definitely kept me frizz free and moisturized. I used it with Bella Curls LI and curl enhancing gellie and was impressed. A little goes a long way too.

If you use code FB1000, you can get a free 4oz of the butter (only pay S&H). I was going to get a new scent but I definitely have like 3 of them already, lol!

She took out the glycerin and added more herbs to it since she released it - maybe the cost of the herbs increased it? It's still a great gel and $12 for 16oz is great - she also has a lot of coupons. Just saying, don't write it off!

Yea I was kind of peeved that the price went up. I got my 16 oz gel for under $10. I was happy. The gel is good though and $12 for 16 oz of product is still pretty reasonable. I happen to have her older formulation though so maybe it is the herbs. I wish she still had that one

The PJ in me won't let me write it off lol (it's only $3), and $12 for 16 oz is still a very good price. Plus what I'm reading in this thread it's sounds like a really good product. I'm looking for a natural "gel".

I will have to say that the shipping is super fast! I ordered on Friday, got a shipping notice on Saturday and got my package on Monday. I didn't get any samples though .....I only ordered the peppermint gel. I like the scent and will be trying it out this week.
