I use coconut oil as a pre-poo. It's also in the Ramtirth Brahmi oil that I massage my scalp with nightly.

I looked into coconut oil about a week or two ago. I haven't used it yet, but I prefer to use things that I'm sure are 100% natural on my hair. So, I'm going to be making my own coconut oil because I'll be sure it's natural and nothing's added to it. I have a formula/recipe for making coconut oil if anyone wants me to share.

I can never use any type of oil alone directly on my hair, always have to mix it with something. I use CO in my leave-in and mixed in a bottle of water to refresh my WG's. I like it so much bc it is so light compared to shea butter, evoo, etc. its my favorite of oils.

Default Spectrum Spray Oil

I used Spectrum Coconut oil spray the other day as a pre-poo on wet hair. (Great because I could just comb it through and it went on very evenly. However, left a bit of a mess in my bathroom. ) I left it overnight in a braid and the next day after my routine my hair was wonderful - soft, very shiny, defined and full of bouncy ringlets. The effect wore off the next day but I will be using this whenever I have time. I want to try it on my scalp, as well, as it has been itchy lately.

I use CO directly on my scalp. I have dry to normal fine hair and scalp so I HAVE to have moisture and my scalp has to be lubricated daily and CO does a Fantastic job of doing just that.

I only use it as a pre-poo now. I used to swear by it but I've learned my hair swears at it, CO and my hair just aren't friends.

I also use CO when making tempura and stir fry, yum.

I use coconut oil...
-- under Shea Moisture Purification Masque when I detangle/condition prior to shampooing
-- under gel when I slick my hair up for a bun or puff
-- as an ingredient in my DIY Body Butter [shea butter/coconut oil]*

I use it as a full body moisturizer after my showers instead of lotion. I also use it on my wash & go after the gel..

As you can tell from my signature my hair love or oils From castor oil to coconut oil 2 extra virgin olive oil I love them all. I like coconut oil because it's very light, gives natural shine, It also makes hair soft. I love reading oil related threads remind me all over again why I love my oils

It's one of the main ingredients in my condish mix. And I also have it in an oil mix which I use as a moisturizer on my face....AWESOME!

I apply it to the scalp with a color applicator bottle. A few strokes on the scalp then massage the oil into my scalp with my fingertips
