From what my doctor told me, adhesions occur when the tissues don't heal like they should and end up healing onto organs and muscle. I complained at my last annual exam about the pain I get when I sneeze or move the wrong way, and she said it was because of adhesions. I didn't take it easy and let everything heal the right way.
