As I said, all my kids have the natural wood furniture, including my daughter. What I did in her room was to get a natural wicker headboard for her queen size bed and that makes it seem a bit more feminine, and still "matches" the natural tone. She has light purply-pink walls and frilly curtains, with lavendar bedding and a silk fairy bower canopy thing that hangs over the bed. It looks quite girly.
