My girlfriends and I habve all delivered at the same hospital and even though we didn't have midwives, our hospital followed thse guidelines as well. They also have tubs available for you to labour in.
Yep - I had an O/B, but I also had a labour tub, baby stayed with me the whole time, breast feeding was encouraged, they were OK with natural birth, etc. etc. etc.

I think I would consider a midwife next time just because there is more contact with them as opposed to the short quick O/B visits. But my prenatal care was done by my family doctor, not my O/B, and I was pretty happy with that.
