Umm, I don't understand the documented "terrible twos." Every mom I know (myself included) noticed a surge of independence and challenging behavior when their kid hit 3. The twos were a piece of cake, IMO.

2 for us was absolute hell. I almost completely lost my sanity between 18 months and 3 years. I hardly left the house.

With a 3 1/2 year old, and 8 month old, we were able to go to Fridays for dinner, where they took forever with our food, and the kids behaved very well for the hour and a half we were stuck there. At 2 I never would have even tried that.
