Yes...we all come from the melting pot but Im going to need you to not tell anyone else that
Maybe whoever it was is actually what they say they are? A large number of Indians are mixed. As far as I'm concerned, you are one if you are actually part of the culture. On the other hand, that whole "I'm not connected to the culture at all but my grandma was 1/2...uh, I don't know the tribe either..." thing is something else though.

After reading the earlier posts from the ONE DAY I missed (yet I had 10+ pages to catch up on!), I watched that Tip Drill video. Safe to say my ass complex is back...

Exactly what I was going to say. They can't be trusted. Not to mention I read about how the money is distributed, and ain't that much going to treatment or research. So no thanks, won't get my money.

Okay so...you've been giving me the silent treatment for three days, completely out of the blue. What, you expect me to figure out what's wrong? I didn't do anything to you. This looks like a power move to me and I'm not asking you sh*t.

I agree that living without a loved one is hard for those left behind...but I think that living for a severely depressed person might be harder. Suicide's not an easy choice to make. If you get to that point....well, you can't live your life (or postpone your death) for other people. You have to want to live for you.

There's my morbid post of the day :/
I can understand feeling so depressed you want to end your life but I think sometimes people dont realize most situations are temporary. How many of us have been crushed by a disappointment or a breakup and thought at the time we would always feel overwhelming pain. I've been to counseling before. There is nothing wrong with it. Watching my aunt and uncle bury their only son and how it haunts them more than 20 years later I cannot understand suicide. Cant understand how my cuz could leave his young daughter to grow up without a father. Really the same as abandoning her in my opinion. My friend's mother had to find her 15 year old son hanging in the basement. I cant even find the words to express how I feel.
In the eyes of a depressed person, it's not abandoning, it's freeing a loved one from the burden of you.
That's such a good point!!!

I've known this person.since we were in 4thgrade .

She went to SC last year for a family reunion. Came back saying she found out her ancestors were from there. Cool beans, but umm err have you researched?

Your mother was born in NY, to parents from Mississippi.... Your father tells us all the time about breaking his foot when he was little in Tampa. Soooooooo umm at least do some research first.

She then gets mad at me cause I laughed

After seeing this video, I am going to reach far -as far back as possible and cling on to any non- black ancestry. I refuse to be a negro while this goes on.
