There definitely is a lot of garbage on tv these days, even cable which used to be decent.

I was never a huge tv watcher, but used to watch certain shows or cable. Now, I get my news online or in hard copy and my entertainment or mindless stress release from other sources, including the internet.

It seems ironic that with new technology like TIVO and plasma, etc... there is less and less reason to watch television. Maybe tv will go the way of radio? (which I prefer to tv, but is less popular or faces more competition than before)
