I used to hate my hair when wet too btw. I thought I looked like a drowned rat. My BF loves it though. Mentions it every single time he sees it.
Finally I said 'you've gotta be kidding, what's to like?!' He replied it's the seaweedy, mermaidy look; he finds it sexy, as in Venus on a Seashell, Botticelli kind of thing.
So I've embraced the wet rat look. Er, I mean, the mermaid goddess look.
