I would be concerned too about the yellowing can do a test strand underneath (or on shed hair) to make sure (they sell small test amounts at that site just for that purpose). Cassia smells earthy, not bad though. You mix it up to the consistency of yogurt and slap it on the hair as a mudpack, so it's a bit messy. Think of it as a spa treatment.
