I'm beginning to realize that the weather plays a big part in if this spray works well or not (and in what ingredients I use). The first day I used the spray with the aloe as gel, it was ok. The next few days after that, the temperature and humidity rose much higher and all I got was lots of poofy frizz. I had a partial batch of spray made using regular gel so I dumped both batches together and shook it well. Today my hair is holding up to the humidity much better. It seems that in summer my hair needs more hold than aloe can give (and maybe less moisturizing). I'm going to use up the combined batches. After that, depending on the weather at the time, I'll use gel, try using aloe alone again, or maybe some combo of the two.
