Hi Cysyca,

I actually intended to grow out my natural hair and then tex it. But as the months went by and I realized that my hair was not as unmanagble as I thought I've changed my decision.

In addition after reading Diana DeCosta's book Health Textures I realized that if i did tex it would need to be only once a year. Diana explained that if you tex more frequently the reality is that you could end up with straight her because as the relaxer is washed out it pass over previsouly treated hair thus reducing the curl pattern further with each treatment.

The key to texting is timing, ie how often it's done and how long it's left on your hair.
