I have another bread recipe for you. It's probably not quite as healthy as the other whole wheat recipe I gave you, but it's much less dense/heavy and sooooo delicious. Here it is...

Basic Honey Whole Wheat Bread

Ingredients:

1 lb loaf
  • 1 cup water, 80-90 degrees
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tbsp unsalted butter, 1/2-inch pieces at room temp
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 3/4 cup bread flour
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 tsp yeast, active dry, instant or bread machine
1.5 lb loaf
  • 1 cup + 1 tbsp water, 80-90 degrees
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, 1/2-inch pieces at room temp
  • 1 1/2 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup bread flour
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp yeast, active dry, instant or bread machine
2 lb loaf
  • 1 1/4 cup water, 80-90 degrees
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 tbsp unsalted butter, 1/2-inch pieces at room temp
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 1/4 cup bread flour
  • 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp yeast, active dry, instant or bread machine
Place all ingredients in the order listed in your breadmaker. Select whole wheat cycle, select loaf size, and select crust preference. Press start.

That's it! Delicious!!!
