I feel your pain, especially with the bolded. It seems that every mousse I've tried is drying, even though it can give incredibly soft, shiny hair the first day (cough, PANTENE, cough). Is your hair straight on top like mine? I can't put any product in that area because it barely has any volume and would look greasy (hairspray is the exception and MAYBE some hard-hold gel).
