Here's what's been working for me lately. It's not CG...but some people don't have probs with amodimethicone and might consider it a modified CG.

I've been washing my hair with Creme of Nature shampoo (green label)...it has a water soluble cone in it...peg modified d-cone.
It is like CO-washing, except it does have a mild cleanser that my hair seems to need...it's very, very moisturizing.

Lately, I haven't used a rinse-out conditioner with it--that's how moisturizing it is for me.

I use Garnier Fructis sleek and shine leave-in (has the a-cone). Usually, I use somewhere between a quarter-size and fifty-cent piece size.
That gives me soft, fluffy, but (imo) beautiful curls.

Yesterday, I put in half the amount of leave-in at first...then I mixed 1/4 amount with two squirts of Wella Brilliante spray gel. I wanted to experiment with gel, so I did it.

My hair clumped less, but there were lots of shiny curls. Curlier than normal.
Now, this gel is discontinued...sorry, curlies...and has been for awhile. It got good reviews a little over a year back on another website I used to frequent, so when I saw it at the store (last May, I think...so, yep, a year ago), I got the last two that ULTA had.

Using a thick leave-in with another gel might be helpful to some of you. Wella has almost no holding power, it was thin and watery. So, maybe my experiment can work with other gels.
All I know, is I actually got gel to work for my hair!!! Yay!

I am a sulfate washing, cone slabbing, curly lovin' s.o.b. The CG police haven't caught me yet.
