I'm pretty much done with the growing-out transition. It's my one year anniversary since I stopped coloring my hair. I've kept it trimmed up to chin/shoulder length and the grey is just about at the ends now.

I have dark hair and yep, the lightness of the grey really bugged me. But I've gotten used to it and don't even notice anymore. Most of my grey is at the top and front. The back and underneath is still dark (for now!). The one great thing about the greys is the sparkle it has in the sun. My hair has never been shiny so it's a nice treat for me (hey, I have to find something good about looking like an old granny!)

No more coloring, no more roots, no more skunk stripe. Freedom at last.
