My hair is definitely porous, especially the ends. It goes poofy pretty easily and although the strands themselves are fine/medium it's hard to weigh it down. Humidity makes it puff up like crazy. It's also a pain to detangle.

I'm sensitive to most proteins but thanks to a thread posted by RCC a while ago, I discovered that my hair does like the occasional protein treatment.
Whenever I do one, my hair feels a lot smoother when it's wet and very seaweedy like. It also becomes SO much easier to detangle and the curls are less puffy and more defined once dry. I'm guessing the protein fills in the gaps and smooths the strands making them lie flat and easier to detangle.
I'm wondering if more protein in the summer will help with my humidity issues.
