Miss Jessie's...hmmm..

I have been reading quite a few posts referring to Miss Jessie's line and I'm shocked to see that many people are un happy with this line! Granted everything isnt for everybody but I'm suprised at the numbers. I first explored the option to go natural after watching the 2 founders of the line on Tyra a few months ago. I went online and and did some pricing and although it was a little steep for my recession ridden pockets I thought that natural hair came at a price.....Im so glad I looked and asked around more because Im hearing VO5 & Suave are cheaper and better! Although I havent tried MJ's I'm disappointed that it is being advertised to help natural hair it contains many of the ingredients us CG's should swear off... has anyone actually tried that can explain their experience or is this anyone else out there that agrees with me?

I used it before it had mineral oil and some of the other ingredients I won't use. Didn't find it to be anything special at that point and certainly wouldn't buy/use it now. There are so many great lines that use more natural ingredients, you have lots of great products you can try. Some lines you may want to try: Curl Junkie, Spiral Solutions, Komaza, Shescentit, Darcy's Botanicals.

Some people act like they are personally insulted by the two which I don't understand but the products work for me. I've used them off and on since they came out.

- don't let everybody elses long straight weave bum you out. don't let other people's big/long natural hair bum you out either. embrace what you have and rock it with confidence, because that's the only way you'll be happy. and whether you realize it or not you are somebody's influence. show them what it truly means to be confident.

Personally myself the objective is to find what works for your hair. And as far as everyone saying mineral oil, Mineral oil is not that harsh for your hair. some peoples hair just do except mineral oil all that well so they talk about it. And there's not enough mineral oil in miss jessies products to damage the hair. I do believe that they are way over priced but the rapid recovery in there line is the only deep conditioner that seems to work for my hair. And there shampoo and conditioner really make my 4a hair very soft and easily to detangle when needed. The curly meringue gives me soft poppin curls, good for a pony puff. So anyone that hasn't tried it don't knock it, because you might find some of there products that work for your hair and some that dosen't do well for your hair. That what I have come to experience with there hair care line. So I have mixed feeling about some of there products.I think people just needs to find what works for them. Because you can read the forums about an product with someone with the same hair type as yourself, then you order an product an it just don't work for your hair like the same haitr type person said it worked for theres. So I say press your luck!!

I think everyone should use what works on their hair. My biggest concern is that when some of these lines changed from using expensive ingredients to less expensive ingredients, they maintained the high prices. I just checked the ingredients on some of the products very quickly on CurlMart, there were three products that had " water, parafinium liquidum" as the first two ingredients. I just can't see spending $$22 for an 8 oz product that lists those two ingredients first.
