Natural regimen!!!

I just discovered a new regimen for me to follow that is natural and easy and doesnt break my bank. One day I found out that I didnt have anymore conditoner to cowash my hair with. I really need to wash my hair so I decided to mix some Shea butter, evoo, coconut oil, water, and avocado oil together to make my own whipped shea. So I shampooed with castil soap and then slatherd my hair with the whipped shea mixture a proceeded to detangle under the shower head. The comb glide right through my hair and my curls were really defined. I then towel blotted the excess water and added a bit more shea for the leave-in/styler. I bunned and my hair was so moisturized but not greasy! I think I have found my permanent regimen because this was so easy and cheap. Plus I get the results I want. I have been doing this routine for the past 2 weeks and I have not complaints. I call it my Eve's haircare regimen because I think of what did Eve do in the garden of Eden to keep her hair healthy and beautiful. I will keep doing this routine for the remainder of the year and see how well my hair does with it.

Thanks for sharing this. How much of each of the ingredients did you use for the whipped shea ?

Thanks, how many washes does this quantity of homemade conditioner last you, or is it enough for just one wash ? Shea butter is very scarce here..

Sounds like an excellent regimen. One of the ladies @ LHCF started a thread about something similar. Here is a link to the thread if you are interested:

I copied down some of it to read later. This LHCF member uses clay on her hair, red palm butter, in which shea butter is one of the ingredients, along with avocado, egg, honey, and olive oil in different combinations as a conditioner. Everyone is trying different things on their hair and sometimes they come across like-minded ideas. I think that as long as you are truthful and honest about it, things should be okay.

oh, okay. Thanks for that explination. The difference is slight but all I use is the whipped shea butter. I may do an amla treatment here and there but not a whole lot. Thanks again for clearing that up.
