Default Hair question

My sister has 4b hair. Sometime last year she had a protein treatment in her hair. It made the middle pop and break off. It is growing, but noticeably slowly than the surrounding area. She has been trimming to keep it even with rest but still notices a difference. Any hair tips are welcome!!

I'd say her hair doesn't like protein. She should concentrate on products that are moisturizing and don't contain protein. Perhaps apply extra oil/butter too. Shea butter is deeply moisturizing, but some people who are particularly sensitive to protein don't like coconut or argan oil.

2c/3a-M-ii porous, good elasticity, APL, dark brown with a silver lining. Biggest enemy: frizz!
