you can try a brown sugar honey scrub. add a little tea tree and lavender oil. also hair steamers help alot as while. HTH
Sometimes we get build up from just using conditioners, and need to clarify. ACV, or baking soda on the scalp will remove build up. Maybe pop a little in some yogurt to really get in there good. Any clarifier will work.
Thanks

Massage scalp
With extra virgin coconut oil. Try 2 tbsp melted mixed with 1-2 drops rosemary or tea tree essential oil if u can. Put on dry hair under a shower cap. In the morning rinse and wash and condition hair
when ever i get an ichy scalp i always think that its a sign that my hair is growing. im pretty much cg, though i use condish and oil to style, i low poo every few days and it still seems to ich. (right now im ich free it seems to came and go and after it iches i thnk that my hair shoots out)
so i just try to keep my hands away from it.

my hair: 3c, high porosity, high density and coarse hair (i think i finally figured that all out)
my hair loves conditioner only styling!
my hair goal length is bra strap length when curly.

Smithjmonique, I have an update for you. I read that aloe Vera gel is excellent for scalp so it may alleviate itchiness. I now use as leave in and curl gel combined, aloe Vera gel mixed with jojoba oil (3 tbsp avg plus 1 tbsp oil). I use it all on my hair (midneck if stretched but looks short due to shrinkage). I love it!

I always thought the "itchy scalp = hair growth" thing was a myth. Does anyone have any thing showing whether or not this is true or not? The only reason I ask because Ive been experiencing itchiness but Ive also been using a homemade MSM and Keratin cream
i think its true... its just a feeling i get cause somtimes my scalp ichy's, sometimes worse then others, it lasts less then 2 weeks though after that period i always have a feeling that my hair has gotten longer. then it doesnt ichy's again for a awhile. and i know that hair has different growth and resting stages. so i gathered that when my scalp ichy's its a growing stage, n when its not that its resting.
no proof, just somthing i noticed about my hair.
