Flax Seed Gel?

Hey, curlies! I have been thinking about making some FSG, since by what I understand it is practically fool-proof. So, I have a total of 3 questions:

1. How does it work for you guys?
2. Where can I buy un-milled seeds? They only had the ground kind at Walmart.
3. What's your recipe(s) for it?
I'm still perfecting my recipe, but it works great nonetheless!

I get my flaxseeds at Basic Foods, which is just an organic food store. I'm sure any organic store would carry unmilled flaxseeds.

The recipe I follow is 3 tbsp of flaxseeds and 2 cups of water. I let the water boil before adding the flaxseeds, then stir occasionally, letting the mixture boil for 5-6 minutes. Then, I strain it through a knee-high and stir.
Curly and PROUD!!!

My hair has a mix of low/med/high porosity, and it's medium textured (some are still fine, though!)
