I only use it on my scalp too but my hair is rather short atm so, most of it gets washed i guess. I only use it about once a week if that, i prefer co-washing. I guess in comparison to co-washing it makes my hair feel weird - you know that squeaky clean feeling. It's a weird texture even when it's wet. I always make sure i use a heavier conditioner after i've used it,so my hair is soft again.

Yeah, I guess I find it good because my hair is quite fine and gets weighed down easily. But it could be that your hair just has a different texture to mine.

yeah, i don't know.... i think my hair is fine to medium, but tend to get weighed down and its not very hard to over condition it. *shrugs* everyone's hair is different.

Jessicurl users - my Petra is discontinuing the line! If you're in love with the products, you might want to check if yours is, too, and stock up.

It's my favourite product line. I'll be lost without access to them. Will have to stock up.

It's devastating about jessicurl... i found out awhile ago (think i posted it on here?) I stocked up on a few things, they're all 50% off!! I was talking to the girl at petra and apparently it hasn't gone as well as they hoped over here. She's disappointed they are going too, said she likes the conditioners too and that they were a great option for vegans. She also told me that had a decent amount of stock so she expects to have the products for a while longer.

Aw that sucks bout the Jessicurl for you guys!
Ok i'm getting myself more confused about everything now and i'm on another product hunt. Since I found out HEHH condish has a cone I've been low-pooing it but that's just not working right now I'm thinking of going back to my faithful Pears conditioners once HEHH runs out. Been thinking about buying some One Condition just to try it out and i'd love to and everything but the price is just ridiculous!! (on amazon there was a 12oz bottle on sale for $12.99 but including p&h and it was well over $100) Either deva comes here or they cut down that price fast. It just seems like everything mainstream has cones or bad ingredients now.........i guess things would be easier if i wasn't against so many ingredients and not addicted to scent :-\
USA CGs are sooo lucky with the product opportunities and stuff but us, everything in the media is about straight hair and cones, sulfates and all that. Sorry to go on and on but just need bumping the thread/updating/multitasking

Alannah, I got some onec way back when I first joined up here and before the postage was as high as it is now. It really isn't anything special so I wouldn't lose any sleep over it if I was you. I've just ordered some stuff from a site called iherb, which is a lot of vitamins and suchlike, but it also has hair products and the postage is only US$4 airmail to here (for parcels weighing under 3 pounds) which I thought was amazing. I ordered two leave-ins, an EO conditioner and some stuff for my icky scalp and it came to AU$44 all up which I thought was good. The products are so much cheaper than here that even with the postage it's cheaper than buying them here. Crazy. They've got a reasonable selection of brands so have a nosy, you never know - you might find something you fancy trying.
I do wonder why, if they can do that rate of postage that other people can't.

Ok thanks Starmie! That iherb sounds pretty good and the $4 postage is wicked, $30 for a 12oz bottle of anything is insane. I'm checking it out now

hey! just wondering what gel you guys use. I picked one but it has a little alcohol further down the list. Do you know of any alcohol free gels?

nope, not yet. They're really taking their time but it's only been 15 business days and it can take up to 21 so there's a lil more to go. I can't wait!! xo

I use MD (mark daniels...I think) rapid curl gel. It comes in a bright yellow tube and you can buy it from priceline or safeway. I'm honestly not too sure about the alcohol issue but it is nice and creamy and doesn't ever dry my hair out or make it too hard and crunchy...so I'm assuming little or no alcohol, but I'll check it when I get home.

Well I guess I should admit that I am not very CG anymore, lol. Most of the CG products are 'natural' and I was having heaps of allergy problems. My hair was also falling out heaps and when I did some research it was suggested that washing daily to keep an oil free scalp can help with hair loss.
I have been using KMS products a fair bit and they are lovely. My hair also loves JF serum!

mdrb - Yeah I saw that gel when I was in priceline the other day. I ended up getting vo5 wet look gel. That's been working so far and is light weight but has great hold
feralcurls - If allergies are a problem with CG and you then it's a good thing that you're finding what works for you no one should have to force you to use products that react to your skin so I actually thinks it's great you are modifying the method to meet your own needs! Strictly CG doesn't always work out for everyone so we just need to tweek things a little lol
