Soooo frustrated trying to find products!

I am getting so frustrated trying to find products without cones in them. Is driving me nuts!! I am a real product junkie so it is really frustrating.

Think I looked at every bottle in hairdressers warehouse on the weekend!!! (and got asked about 10 times if I needed help!, from past experience they never can help!).

I feel your pain. luckily I'm not too much of a product junkie and have found one or two products that work for me and stuck with them. It's annoying when i want to try new stuff though.
What about the Bedhead range? for some reason I thought they didn't have any cones.
I know what you mean bout the hairdresser warehouses though. The lady pointed me to a deep treatment and i said "that has silicone in it" and she was like "no it doesn't" she had no idea what i was talkin about lol.
Hope the search gets easier

I think one of the Bedhead range is cone free. I've had some bad allergic reactions to Bedhead products in the past though.

I love Biolage conditioning balm but would like another conditioner as I like to rotate them.

Can't find a leave-in with no cones.

And am grumpy that they don't sell LOOB here!

I feel your pain!
I'm just starting out and its so damn hard! Especially when nearly everyone here is in the us or uk and are able to get their hands on stuff. There's hardly anything available here.

Hairhouse warehouse are crazy they always ask me a million times if I need a hand, and look at me weirdly when I just wondering for ages looking at labels. And I agree they're not very helpful.

On recommendation of others I'm currently using mastey sulphate free shampoo (once a week if that, over conditioned end), biolage conditioning balm, and I'm co washing with a pears conditioner (from the supermarket only a few $) when I need it. I got my hands on FOTE (aloe gel) and I'm currently using VO5 melting Gelee, which i got the ingredients check on here, it only cost me $2.

Have you checked out your local health food store?

I think I read somewhere on here that one of the Garnier fructis conditioners is cone free.

Atm I'm contemplating ordering some stuff online, but I'm waiting for my poor student budget to allow me to do so.

Hi All,

I use an Australian organics conditioner and Eden organic shampoo, which both can be found a some Coles supermarkets. Both are reasonably prices for organic products.

As for gels - sorry I can't be of much help there I use Jessicurl which I got when it was still being imported into Australia by an independent supplier.

Chemists and health food stores can be great places to pick up CG friendly products.

I have allergies to alot of the natural products which is a bit of a pain. Am allergic to lots of essential oils.

I have decided to relax on the cones a bit as I think The Mastey Triate poo will probably get the weaker cones out.

Got some Redken Ringlet (d-cone) yesterday and am quite pleased with the results. Also got a Matrix curling gel (with a water soluable cone), will try that tomorrow.

Have always been a total product junky and was feeling wayyy to restricted!! lol

Another thing I heard, it might also cause reactions, but catwalk doesn't have any cones either. Just something else to put out there.

Yeah can't use the catwalk stuff. A lot of it does have cones in it.

Tried L'Oreal techni.art a-head web this week in my attempt to find something like LOOB. Was interesting! Very scary stuff to use! Caused good clumping and good curls and my hair doesn't normally clump. Does have a cone in it and does have a producty feel if you put lots in. And is expensive! $25.

Got a small tube of KMS curling balm too. Has d-cone in it but quite far down the list and after scrunching in wet hair I could feel no product on my hands so don't think it would cause much trouble for CG. Didn't like how it was drying though! A bit frizzy.

Curl memory up spray from L'Oreal techni.art is coneless, although it has PEG-14 dimethicone...but I'm pretty sure that the PEG means it's water soluble.

I read here that L'Oreal elvive nutrigloss leave in (pink bottle, available at all supermarkets) is cone free. I went through the list of ingredients and although I'm still VERY new to this, it looks safe to me.

I can type out the list if you want?

You need to get the masque/treatment in the nutrigloss, the conditioner here does have cones in it.

I just got the isamy "i'm twisted" curl spray gel from priceline, made in us (people were talking bout it here and I needed new gel)

ingredients are;
water/aqua, acrylates/ hydroxyesters acrylates copolymer, PVP, acrylates/ beheneth-25 methacrylate copolymer, gylcerin, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, aminmethyl propanol, fragrance/ parfum, disodium EDTA, DMDM hydantoin, iodopropynyl butylcarbamate, benzyl benxoate, benzyl salicylate, butyphenyl methylpropional, hydroxyiosohexyl 3-cyclohexene, carboxaldehyde, limonene, linalool

(sorry if there is spelling mistakes... bit hard trying to read and write while holding the bottle)

I think the curl cream if I remember was cone, but I'm unsure.

the spray gel is interesting never use one before so still experimenting. It does seem to make my hair feel a little dry tho, but usually only on the 2nd day.

I think it exciting that we are starting to get more amercian products here.. hopefully one day most if not everything the american curlies talk about will be available.

Oh i did find a website that said they had AO products but the website was so dodgy that I was suss on it and left

A couple of conditioners to add to the list: Sukin (found at health food shop and chemist), Hemp and Melrose (health food shop). I'm not sure what either of them are like, but the ingredients were safe. I've used Sukin moisturiser and it's divine. I didn't realise they had a hair care range.

I've tried the Kosmea conditioner. It was rather expensive at $18.95. Was ok. Not super moisterising compared to Biolage conditioning balm. And got some itchiness from it (yes I am a hopeless case).

I went through the leave in conditioner ingredients with a fine tooth comb (I searched anything I wasn't sure about) and it seems to be safe ... it's the one that looks like a little kids drink bottle (with a pop top lid).

It has glitter in it, so I'm not sure if it will stay a regular part of my routine ... I kinda look like a fairy exploded on my head.

Oh I did see Toni and Guy beach waves spray, and in a glance the ingredients looked decent

it's got a silver bottle, white lid and pink writing on it as far as I can remember - I saw it in target.

Just bought today a product called 'Organic Instict' from Priceline (500ml btl $12, 250 ml $8 Has anyone else tried this?? No silicones & has some of the ingredients listed in the CG book (like citric acid, lavender oil, quite a few herbel extracts actually. I will try it and let u all know what I think. I was about to fork out to get products shipped from the U.S but not a good time with dollar down, plus shipping costs.
